I had Maccas the other day.
Filet o'Fish, french fries and a hot chocolate made with almond milk.
It's been a while since I had Maccas and they all have the new touch screen things down pat. You don't even have to wait in line anymore they bring it to your table, even you can order from the app on your phone. (I don't eat Macca's enough for that)
Yes, some might say its trashy, I mean literally you have to throw away all your packaging, tray liner, and cups at the end of your meal and who knows where it goes in the land fill, but as say it's emergency food, you got no time to set the table, prep and cook and do dishes and your tummy is growling at you. I would not feel guilty about that at all.
If its like a regular thing though, having it more than once a week or whatever (haven't had it in months) then it might be a problem. I mean it's not the cheapest food you could have. But I suspect that, for those of us who have these emergencies, who don't even have kitchens to cook in, hot fast food can be a life saver.
Why must everything be bad? Why do people who are just trying to live, said to have 'bad taste' or things to be looked down on as trashy and no good? Is there some kind of snob value or reverse hipster thing going on that now is making artisan coffee or whatever cool and outrageously expensive? Remember when it became fashionable to look like you got your clothes from a dumpster, and now they selling them for huge markup? Well what about the times when all you could afford were clothes from an op shop. It was shameful then.
Some of these comedians humour is a bit twisted. I must say in the OP. I was like. No, that's not the way I see McDonalds. It's not the way I see a lot of things. You like what you like, don't feel guilty about the little things that give you pleasure. If others see it as trashy, so what.
I used to say bad relationships but I’ve learned from that and I don’t go down that road anymore.
