I'm posting this into the family thread, because as brothers and sisters in Christ, we're ALL family, and I just want to let you all know that I love each and every one of you, whoever you are, where ever you may be, and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas from the deepest part of my heart. I know many don't believe in Christmas, but never forget the meaning, that God sent his one and only Son for us to redeem us of our sins. That is the greatest gift ever! God bless all of you and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas this year! :)

I love Christmas scenes and lights. Neither hubby nor I are talented at it but we did try to light the outside of the house this year.We did it when it was warmer at least.lol

The Irish have a custom, of mourning when a child is born into this sinful world of certain pain and sorrow, and celebrating when that person dies to be reunited with their Maker. I find it interesting that it is a largely a worldly tradition to celebrate the birth of Christ into the flesh of man, when as Christians we more celebrate His death and resurrection, while mourning the cause of His incarnation, for it is our sinful selves that put Him on the cross. The flesh as Jesus said, counts for nothing. Yet still we rejoice in His great everlasting love for us, and His triumph over sin and death on our behalf, that we may escape the second death, being reconciled to God and attaining to a life more abundant through His resurrection. In Him is the light and life of men. I pray this Christmas brings immeasurable peace and joy to all, especially those who find the Truth in Him.

I pray that all our friends on CC who are wrestling with their own struggles are able to find some genuine peace, joy and happiness over Christmas and that they all are able to find strength in the lord, friends, and family to know that they do matter and that they are loved. I pray that 2018 brings new hope, new strength and new happiness for all of our CC friends and families who need our prayers and inspiration along their journey with our lord almighty. May their faith grow in the lord to truly relieve themselves of all their life's burdens with the trust and faith of the Lord hands and his holy majestic master plan.
God Bless

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude
of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men!”

I've been to a few Christmas parties for young people. The guys often bring their non-Christian friends there. For them, the expression "Xmas Party" is just a party where many people put on red hats, dress up as Santa Claus, and so on. However, at our parties, everyone brings a cooked dish, fruits, pies. We all celebrate, play fun games, and then get gifts. I always get Christmas Paint by Numbers Kits, and I'm happy about it. These are prints with the Virgin Mary in a manger or something else. We praise Christ. We talk about his birth and our Lord. And it's lovely.
