His heart is warm, his skin is cold,
The mirror-man deflects the rain...
Reflecting dreams both young and old
That never breathed again

They say that he's the wishing well
For every soul that sighs
The being you can kiss and tell
Whilst looking in your eyes

He's crystal, smoother than the sea
Forged in the darkest halls,
He walks in shining solitary
Within his prism walls

For every eye that sees him is reflecting on itself
Though few realise his visions are inverted,
An essence of a man behind panes within himself
The child disowned by men and now perverted

The mirror-man allowed himself to fall, in segregation
Reflections on themselves are infinite
Performing as a shining cage within an alien-nation...
Inside,a soul that cannot feel its light

Interesting... tell me about your poem... what does it mean... what led you to write it?

Thank you for taking an interest.

It’s myself as the ‘kid in the corner ‘ , grown up and realising he’s not the only one.

Every eye that reads this poem reflects upon itself, and it makes the reader wonder what they would see in ‘the mirror man’

Ty again for asking 🙂
