hi guys im 23 im really trying to repent of my sin i live alone but my mom wants nothing to do with me i was drinking alot and using drugs i just really need prayer about all the junk thats going on in my life i want a relationship with her and i want to love Jesus with all my heart so thank you for your time my name is chris btw

Praying for you Chris. Try coming closer to God, sometimes I feel really bad too, but I try to remind myself that Jesus loves me and that he knows al my suffering and my needs. Be strong and trust God, have faith in Jesus and He will provide your needs.

I am praying for you Chris. And I can assure you that Jesus truly wants to love you back. Just let yourself go and imagine basking in His beautiful, radiant love. He will find a way to get through to you, and help you endure your troubled times.

Be patient with your mother. I believe that she probably loves you, but you have been such a disappointment to her that she is reluctant to expose herself to more pain. When she sees that you are truly trying to repent, I feel that she will be willing to re-establish a relationship with you. But don't blame her for being cautious. Nothing hurts a parent more than seeing their children destroying themselves.

More prayers here Chris. Remember also that you have a mother in Heaven, Mary. Ask her to intercede for you as the mother of Jesus. she loves you too and will always be there for you.

Simba123, plz for your own sake do not listen to Warrior44!. Mary is not your mother!, she was the mother of Jesus while he was on earth and that was all!.. We pray to only one person God, and the only person who can intercede on our behalf is Jesus Christ!. And it is the Holy Spirit that intercedes for us while praying (Rom 8:26).

Believing that Mary is your mother and will always be there for you is arrant Nonsense!. It is Rubbish!(And Warrior44, can you please tell me the part of the bible that advises us to look to Mary when we are in trouble?, what part of the bible tells us that Mary loves us?, What part of the bible tells us that she will always be there for us?)..
*And praying for her to intercede will only amount in a Waste of time*..

Sure, if you can show me where in the Bible it says that the Bible is the only source of Gods revelation.

Chris, if you really are worried about wasting time then I challenge you to say this one prayer once a day: "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed in the Fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." This prayer takes less than a minute for you to say. Less than 60 seconds out of your day. The first part is directly from the Bible and the second is merely us asking Mary to pray for us. You don't need me to convince you of the strength of Marian prayer. Let Mary prove herself to you. If you do it and she doesn't show then what did you lose?-less than 60 seconds. But if she does then the rewards are endless. Will you accept the challenge?

Great post! Yes, children who are bent on self-destruction put their parents through a very hard time. I'm experiencing that personally.

Please be patient with your mom and don't give up on a future relationship.

And please do take better care of yourself...you are immensely loved :)

Hey chris, hold onto Jesus, Talk with him, walk with him everyday. every choice u make , make it with Jesus. even if it is hard at times. It may seem hard at times but one thing i know hole heartly is Jesus has plans for your life present and future. chris go grab your bible and look this Bible verse up it in the old testament Jeremiah 29:11-14. My family dis-owned me called me a religious nut and had nothing to do with me for 4 years. God is amziing in how he works. Me and my parents have a great relationship now, better then what we had before. Live, love and learn Jesus everyday.

We should be advising him to pray to God, Not to MARY, and telling him Mary is his Mother

Hang on to God, young man... He's coming to help your situation :)

Tobby 17, rely on Jesus my best friend always and sure yours. He is faithful to bring you out , His love never fails. Keep turning to Him and may He produce in you , fruit of Spirit. Trust Him ! Psalm 27:10 says: Though my father and mother forsake me; the Lord will receive me.
He's brought me through a difficult experience recently, so trust Him and Father God. :)
May He fill you with His joy. Amen

Timothy's momma was jewish, his daddy was greek. The jews werent suppose to marry anybody but jews. Momma disobeyed, Timothy was the result, but he wanted to serve God and God said, Ill take you, Son... Timothy wrote two books in your Bible. We all have made bad decisions and have come short of the Glory of God. So many times today I hear people use there parents failures as an excuse for there own. If your parents messed up we have to quit whining and go and serve God with our lifes... Rahab the harlot was in the bloodline of Christ. God will use anyone buddy. :)

I understand your mom's feelings. Hurt and anger and feeling like it will never get better. But you can make it different. You can show her by actions and attitude and joy in the Lord. She will start seeing these changes. It may take time, but put your words into action and she will see. Make sure you are surrounded with good mentors. People who will continually be a good example. get rid of the old junk. Leave those chains behind. God loves you so much and as you build your relationship with Him, people will see the change. Much hugs....and prayers for you.
