Greetings to Everyone!
Yesterday while shopping I lost my checkbook which contained fresh unused checks and many valuable papers inside. I did not discover that until I had gone in to the third and final store on my list. When I became aware that I did not have my checkbook I went to the customer service counters to see if anyone had found it.They informed me they had not. After going home for a while, I then got into my car again and checked with each store in the same way until it was dark outside, from driving around to each store again, but to no avail. They told me if it did show up they would call me but being so near Christmas and hearing so many news reports of scams and people trying to steal information from others, breaking into cars to steal presents, etc. I thought a checkbook lying right in the open would be the perfect target for them to take if they found it.
I started to pray to Jesus telling Him that I sure needed my checkbook and all of the items in it and that I trusted in Him to have whoever may have found it return it to me and that I BELIEVED that I would get it back. And again, realizing that there are many dishonest people who simply might search for money in the checkbook if they found it and if there was none they might just throw it away and not care to trouble themselves such as to bring it to the attention of a store manager or customer service department, I nevertheless kept praying and telling Jesus that He knew how valuable those papers were to me as well as the unused checks inside the leather wallet. I prayed continuously Trusting and Believing in Him and His mighty power to find that which was lost and have it returned. I left it entirely in His hands knowing that I had done all I could to find it but to no avail. I did not hear anything from anyone and went to bed still thinking about my checkbook.
The next morning, still nothing. I felt that if it was God's will that I did not get it back then it must be something that was meant to be. But in the early afternoon I received a telephone call from one of the stores saying They Had My Checkbook! I found this quite remarkable as it was early enough the previous day that if someone had found it and had been honest they would have surely turned it in but they did not. As to finding it the next day, that is almost impossible with so many people Christmas shopping and walking around where anyone could have found it. But the way I prayed was with a prayer Full of Faith in Jesus who has never failed me when I call upon Him. And He Came Through For Me Yet Again!
The person who gave me back my checkbook said someone came to them and turned it in but they could not remember what they looked like. The customer service manager was a fairly young person who was also the head cashier and surely was trained to remember people. Then the thought occurred to me that Jesus might have sent an angel to turn it in thus, that would be why that lady could not remember what they looked like. God has surely been known to do things like that for people! So, I was overjoyed at the return of my checkbook that I had all but lost hope in ever getting back. But there was ONE who heard my devout prayers and acted upon them the very next day -- JESUS! He showed me once again that He was with me and would answer my prayers in record time!
How truly blessed this experience has been for me! I cannot find adequate words to express my joy in my checkbook's return! Upon returning home I immediately Thanked and Praised God through His Most Divine Son Jesus Christ who brought my checkbook back to me and Glorified His most Holy name! I did this several times as many who have lost things may not have been so fortunate as to have had such a successful ending to give testimony to. But I do! And I continue to declare my full devotion to Jesus Christ and His Divine Father who continue to help me in so Many, Many ways when matters were thought to be almost impossible to obtain. But to God Nothing Is Impossible! All Glory Be to His Divine Name Forever! I have been truly humbled by how good He is to me and how He speaks to me and looks after me. For that, I am forever grateful and feel most blessed. And again, I Thank Him and Praise Him and Glorify His Most Holy Name Forever and Ever!
