Hey there, I haven't shared my testimony before, so I thought I would here. I was saved my freshman year of high school and right now I'm a senior high school. When I was in fourth grade though, I started going to vacation bible school with a friend and after that I started attending the church. I loved it, but I didn't hear much about salvation, just stories from the bible mostly. Fifth grade, I still went to that church, but I started pulling my hair out and feeling depressed a lot. I felt so alone and my best friend moved away from me. Sixth grade the church I went to stopped running the church bus, so I went a few months without going to church until another church bus came into the neighborhood, but it was a Pentecostal church. The church and people were very nice, but again, it seemed like all we done was just simply read stories from the bible and not really about what God does for us now or having a relationship with him. I was also still struggling with loneliness and depression. Than....freshman year, I met one of my best friends now, Caitlyn and after we became good friends, she invited me to her church. For a couple weeks I was kind of making excuses because I was still going to the Pentecostal church and I was nervous to going to a new one with only one person that I would know. Finally around November though, I gave in and went to a church activity with her and the people were very nice so I started going and after a couple weeks...I really felt like I was changing and an emptiness I felt inside before was starting to fade. Than one day, a couple of the guys from church invited me to go to the mall with them so we could share the gospel with people. We kind of shyed out though haha and we took a break and they started asking me about when and how I got saved, and I was like what? What do you mean by saved? What does that mean? I had never heard that term before and they explained it to me and I realized, yeah I loved God, but I wasn't saved. So they lead me through it and helped me understand it and I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. :) After that, I could tell I was changing and it felt amazing. Only God can truly satisfy us. I stopped feeling so lonely and depressed because I knew God was always with me and still is. He's always with us. God has changed my life for the best and now He is the author of my life. Thanks for reading my testimony. :)

good story.

i wouldn't blame the church you went to, did you attend the Sunday School or adult church?
because at churches the sunday school are for the kids/teens. And they are mainly for stories.

While adult are for the real meat.

but although, when you attend any church, they would not ask you if you are saved or not. As they study the scriptures.
I mean, if some random guy attended a church, people would not know if he is saved or not, but would assume he probably is.

But it is good to have church friends if you go to church, then you can discuss and that can lead to questionnaire of one being saved or not.
