Im going to be teaching 5 and 6 year olds in our Christian school this year. I have never taught children this young before and I really need some ideas for creative disipline. Spanking is obviously not an option, and I'm not a fan of putting kids in the corner. We do alot of incentives for good behavior, but I know I will also need to discourage bad behavior. Any ideas?
 
My niece's teacher had a board with each childs name on it. Each child had a dot, or something like that, to go by their name. We'll say it was a dot. There was a green, yellow, and red section. The children behaving well kept their dot in the green section. If they got a warning for acting up they moved to yellow, and if they acted up again it went to red. Apparently, most of the kids considered it a big deal and never wanted their dot moved to the yellow or red.
