I'm currently reading "The Wisdom Books" (A Translation with Commentary) by Robert Alter, Professor of Hebrew and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley.
This scholarly Hebrew-to-English translation of the OT Books of Job, Ecclesiastes, and Proverbs, in addition to providing new insights, is noteworthy in that it is highly complimentary re the efforts of those translators of the 1611 King James Bible.
Simply reading Robert Alter's introductory notes on Ecclesiastes will instill a sense of appreciation for Alter's interpretive skills that will carry over as you study his "take" on Job and Proverbs as well.
"The Wisdom Books" is my highest recommendation for your summer reading.
