Hi, I see like me nobody responded so, here goes. The best way to get the right interpretation of the holy word is from the holy spirit. That is what works for me.

Yup, smarter isn't always better. (maybe it's not smart at all! :p)

But ask, and we'll tell you what we think, just make sure you take God's word for it and not ours :)

Conviction: The process of being condemned by one's own conscience as a sinner because of God's demands. The idea of conviction is a major theme of Scripture, although the word is rarely used. (Psalm 32,51; Acts 2:37,; Romans 7:7-25). The agent of conviction is the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-11); and the means of conviction is either the Word of God(Acts 2:37) or God's general revelation of His demands through nature and man's inborn consciouness of a sense of right and wrong(Romans 1:18-20,; 2:15). The purpose of conviction is to lead a person to repent of his siins (Acts 2:37-38,; Romans 2:1-4) and to turn to God for salvation and eternal life.

I know this may be unusual but I wanted to post a link here, because our brother here actually gave the details about why he's having a problem and what he wants scriptures for in another new person's introduction thread. It seems like he's a nice guy having a serious concern and asking a thoughtful question so I wanted to link you to whre he shared "the details" of his problem. He's asking for scriptures. Perhaps someone could befriend him or help him?

Sorry. I'm new here, and I think he is too.
