Nobody can pretend ignorance in order to excuse their sins (part 10):

Behold where we can see His wisdom:

2 – in the fountains (Prov 8:24):

The same fountain can be blessing or malediction. It depends only of the wisdom of the Creator in our lives.

See this example:

  • "And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that he had set his face to fight against Jerusalem, he took counsel with his rulers and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains outside the city. And they helped him. And there were gathered many people, who stopped all the fountains, and the torrent which ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the king of Assyria come and find much water?" (2Ch 32:2-4).

The same water that used to sate Israel's people could help the army of Assyria to conquer Israel. Nevertheless, on the contrary of Hezekiah, we can allow that the goodness and mercy of the Creator that are following us can reach the enemies in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalms 23:4-6) and transform them (see Romans 2:4; 12:19-21).

One of the occasions wherein we can see the Creator's ken is in the case of Moses:

  • "And the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw him, that he was beautiful, she hid him three months. But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of papyrus for him, and daubed it with bitumen and with pitch, and put the child in it. And she laid it in the reeds by the river's edge." (Exo 2:2,3).

Once the pharaoh enjoined that every male was cast into the river, Jochebed obeyed, but with love and wisdom, turning the basket into a little boat.

Spiritually, we need to wait in the Creator for the right people (chiefly in terms of marriage):

  • "Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?" (Pro 5:16)

We need to value more Jesus' boons in our life instead of staying in the wandering of the desire (Ecc 6:9).

Moreover, let's follow the next advice:

  • "And with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation." (Isa 12:3).

So, have a great day drawing water out of Jesus Christ, the only fountain that satiates us forever (John 4:13,14; John 6:35; 7:37-39).
