Why is it that Ammillennial dispensationalists attempt to explain away the gifts of the Holy Spirit using Dispensationalism? They proudly stand against the dispensationalist idea of a 7 year period at the end of the age however, they themselves are guilty of adding a dispensation at the beginning of the church age ending with the death of John the Beloved Apostle. An age in which they claim all gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased seeing as we now reside in the Millennial Kingdom.

If we in fact we do indeed reside in the Millennial kingdom at this very moment, an age in which all believers become kings and priests unto all the earth judging men and angels alike - co-heirs with Christ to the throne of heaven, then wouldn't it make sense that the gifts of the Holy Spirit would be needed now more than ever?

Just a thought... ;)
