This is a tough subject I think. I am not really sure if somebody could answer my question that would be awesome. I don't have a job or anything, but some Sunday's my parents give me money for coffee now sometimes I by coffee sometimes I give it all to the offering. I feel wrong though when I buy the coffee because I don't need it. I also feel wrong because it's not my own money that I am giving. Am I wrong?
You can answer your own question if you look at the fruit in your spirit, look at what it is growing in you!

Things of the Law bring death and bondage to sin, it traps us!
The word says sin takes advantage of the Law!
In other words, the devil uses the Law to bring condemnation and confusion begins, and our good fight of faith is now being fought!

But, wherever the Spirit of the Lord if there is freedom!

If you give, give what you feel God wants you to give.
He does want us to give, and with the same measurement we give we shall receive, press down!

Giving freely,
Freely we give, freely we receive!

"8 Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' in thithes and offerings." Malachi 3:8....

So if I did not give my tithes to the Church it simply means i rob God... and stealing is not good it is subject to God's judgment ( Habakkuk. 2:6) and can be excluded from the kingdom of God (1Corinthians 6:9-10)
the Lord provided more edification to that verse in Malachi 3. It is a standard as to how God will judge the House of God, but let us view the whole chpater in context.

Malachi 3:1Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

1 Corinthians 3:10-23 and Hebrews 12:1-29 both speaks of the refiner's fire of God when judgment falls on the House of God first at His appearing as the follish virgins and the prodigal sons will be left behind. 1 Peter 4:15-19 If you will note verse 15 and compare to verse 19, you can see that we are kept by Him in regards to 1 Corinthians 3:10-23 and Hebrews 12:1-29.

Malachi 3:3And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 4Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Now this suggests that offerings were still being given, but they were not pleasant to the Lord. We read on... to some of the standard in judging the House of God.

Malachi 3: 5And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts. 6For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

This is applicable to the ordinance of John 14:6 being ignored by those seeking after the Holy Spirit when they already have Him dwelling in them as promised for coming to and believing in Jesus Christ. They cannot fathom that they have left their first love as some have blurred the lines of the offices given specifically to the Son as if the Holy Spirit is also the Mediator, the Head of the Church, the Shepherd Himself, and Christ Himself and not just of Christ. Jesus is the Christ. But because they do not see that commandment of John 14:6, they will not narrow the way back to the straight gate. Jesus said that all those that climb up another way is a robber and a thief and all those that come inbetween them and Jesus is the thief. That is why the Holy Spirit is in us. The Holy Spirit is not the means to God. Jesus is. Believers fail to test the spirits and therefore have fallen away from the faith of the one hope of our calling by giving another calling like another baptism of the Holy Spirit that comes with evidence of tongues. It is by that, they are robbing God and voidng faith of His believers from His House.

Malachi 3: 8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

The wayward had asked the question because they had been doing their offerings, but they were not pleasant to the Lord. Look to how this tithe is different from regular tithing.

Matthew 3: 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

We are edified by the word. That is the meat that edifies believers to discern from good and evil in keeping the faith so as to be abiding in Him when He appears. Keep in mind that this judgment is coming as a refiner's fire. Remember that the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Malachi 3: 11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

So being left behind from the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will be the judgment unto the vessels of dishonour. His appearing will deal with those in lying signs and wonders.

2 Thessaslonians 2: 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,... 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be ****ed who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Being left behind is a judgment as once those doors are shut, that first inheritance can never be had again to be partakers of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Malachi 3: 13Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? 14Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

Those that do not follow after the "holy rollers" are often being called a dead church as fitting a description of walking mournfully before the Lord of hosts. And yet to avoid that is to ignore the ordinance of coming to Jesus Christ only in approaching God as it is by Him we have access to the Father.

Malachi 3: 15And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

Are not the holy rollers happy go lucky believers? Do they not speak of deliverances and not by way of Jesus Christ? Did not Jesus say such believers will be wayward for broadening the way in approaching God as they will cast devils out in his name even? Matthew 7:13-15,21-27

So when they are left behind, they will remember... and so begins the Book of Life.

Malachi 3: 16Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Verse 18 is the tithe the Lord was speaking of. This tithe is the meat of the word to dicsern between good and evil.. discerning between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not, but something else in His name.

1 Corinthians 3:1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Hebrews 5: 11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

So if you consider that tongues without interpretation to be used as a prayer language is robbing the House of God of the edification by the word to grow thereby, then one can see why they would wonder by what means have they robbed the House of God when they had been giving offerings but they were unpleasant in the eyes of the Lord.

But even then, these wayward believers are bought with a price and sealed as His as Jesus will finish His work even in those left behind for He shall lose none. The refiner's fire will make them able to be partakers of His holiness as no flesh shall glory in His Presence, so that no man will glory in men for those that glory shall glory in the Lord.
