Christian Leaders Respond to Obama's Re-Election

I loved the quote from Hosea in another thread. Whether we approve of how the election went or not, we, as christians are called to pray for our leaders. I was pleased to find some christian leaders who recognized this. Many have not.

1 Timothy 2 - 2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

My hope is not in a President, no matter who he might be. My hope is in Christ alone.

yes I prayed for Obama for the 1st time last week. I realized I should have done it before, even though I had the impression he is not the man he portrays himself to be. & even tho he may be Muslim. He wears it's ring. I'm not sure we are supposed to pray for people who pray to other God's. I have seen scripture that says this.Since Obama will not tell us why he sorta claims to be Chrisitan, but wears an Islamic ring that says "all to allah", I prayed for him because the other verse says to pray for our leaders.

Snopes indicates that the propaganda re: Obama's ring is false. They apparently had several people who are fluent in arabic read it and they saw nothing.
