This is a question that I have been wondering about for some time now. Simply because I know that Obama was born and for the early years of his life raised a Muslim. I believe he even attended a Muslim school at one time. Remembering that during his first campaign, in a speech he stated: "I'm a Christian, no, I'm a devout Christian."

I have no idea whatsoever Obama's relationship with God is, and am not questioning it now. What I wanted to share is the various stories of his conversion. If he is (and I hope he is) a devout Christian, then good for him, however, if his conversion to Christianity was for Political purposes (as more than a few on the Right have suggested), then not so good for him.

I Googled this and found a lot of "hate speech" articles that I would not link here or share with CC. The one Article I did find that seemed to try and deal with this in a "factual" manner (while still slanted) was the best information I could find.

Based on that...............this is F.Y.I. only.......

So when did Mr. Obama actually convert to Christianity? Let's begin with the 1987-88 possibility. Mr. Obama, in an April 5, 2004 Chicago Sun-Times interview with Cathleen Falsani, says he went up for the altar call in Wright's church "16, 17 years ago. 1987 or 88."
It is hoped that readers will here forgive their writer a very brief aside that they may find interesting.
In response to Ms. Falsani's inquiry "what is sin," Mr. Obama replies with "being out of alignment with my values [emphasis added]."

Obama makes sure to say that Christians are evil over their history that was even contrary to what Jesus taught and that ISIS, who's killing by the millions, represents *Islam in no way possible. I can object to that.
 
Devoutly religious perhaps. Is he an example of what the one world religion of the false prophet will look like? Hmmm. A piecemeal of self worship with bits and pieces of all the worlds religious philosophy.

If Obama had any semblance of "conversion" to faith in Christ, he did it deliberately and for show, all part of a deliberate image change he undertook during his undergrad days at Columbia. Jonah Goldberg wrote a piece for National Review titled "Obama, the Visitor" yesterday that drew me to a book excerpt from a new Obama biography in the Vanity Fair. The book, written by David Maraniss, is titled Barack Obama: The Story, and uses sections of a personal journal kept by Obama's ex-girlfriend from college, Genevieve Cook.

In the biography, Maraniss writes of how Obama hung out with the foreign exchange students, all acting like bemused outsiders looking in on the "corrupt" U.S. society. But then, somewhere in the process of figuring out who he was, Obama decided instead to remake himself.

Becoming Obama

Beenu Mahmood [a friend of Obama's from Pakistan] saw a shift in Obama that corresponded to Genevieve’s perceptions [of Obama growing distant from who he had been]. He could see Obama slowly but carefully distancing himself as a necessary step in establishing his political identity as an American. For years when Barack was around them, he seemed to share their attitudes as sophisticated outsiders who looked at politics from an international perspective. He was one of them, in that sense. But to get to where he wanted to go he had to change.

His friend Barack, Mahmood thought, “was the most deliberate person I ever met in terms of constructing his own identity, and his achievement was really an achievement of identity in the modern world. [That] was an important period for him, first the shift from not international but American, number one, and then not white, but black.”

Obama is a chameleon, able to be whomever he chooses to be. We see it in his performance as "president." He pretends things he has said or done were never said or done. His perception is our reality, according to him, and anything contrary to his perception is just nothing more than delusional error on our part.

God help us when he finally shows who he really is.
 
Obama tries to downplay his Islamic background by claiming that his Kenyan Muslim father was a "confirmed atheist" before Obama was born, but in fact less than 1% of Kenyans are atheists, agnostics, or non-religious and his father certainly was a Muslim. The first religion in Obama's life was the Islam of his father, who named him Barack Hussein Obama, before divorcing his mother when his son was six years old.

(Note: Obama's most influential childhood mentor was Frank Marshall Davis and Frank was an atheist, however).

There is no evidence of any Christian activities or local church participation by Obama while he was in Massachusetts from 1988 to 1991 and Obama abruptly left the radical racist black liberation theology church in Chicago in 2008 that he had later joined (after being told by pastors in Chicago that joining a church would help his political career) when it became politically controversial because of many reasons ranging from it's senior pastor consorting with Nation of Islam leader Farrakhan to rumors of a homosexual underground club to publicly damning America, without first finding another church to join. The Obama's occasionally visit a church (they were seen at St John's in DC, for example) but have stated in interviews that they do not attend church routinely nor are members of any specific Christian church.
 
what is better, a man who claims to have the faith you have, but doesn't prove it to your satisfaction (Obama)
or a man who openly follows a false prophet (Romney) ?

correct, neither; in fact not even possible.

it's not possible in the last hundred years for an honest person to even get close to really running for president - anyone who was a true christian wouldn't stand a chance of staying alive, let alone getting
the financial funding and corporate and military backing needed ----

the whole entire system is very very corrupt, and cannot abide a good or honest person in it's gears.

jesus, king david, martin luther, and others more recently have all noted this __ they went and looked in

the market place, and every business they saw used a lying scale (a false scale) on purpose to cheat and steal from other people.

the higher up , the more corrupt; virtually , practically, or actually no exception; Yahweh knows if there is

any seeking Him.

I dont know what he is but he aint no Christian.Yes,poor English I know.
