Daniel 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle.
Daniel 2:43 And as you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mix themselves with the seed of men. But they shall not cling to one another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Question: Who or what are "they" that shall mix with the seed of men?

Hello ggs7,

The scripture is not speaking about angels mixing with men as I am assuming that you are suggesting, but is in reference to the difference between the iron and clay. That last day world ten-toed kingdom will be made up partly of iron, which is representing the previous Roman empire made up of all iron and the clay represents people who will be divided and therefore will not remain united, being that kingdom will not have the strength that it had when it was all iron.

"As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.(NIV)

The way that the KJV lists the scripture gives the wrong impression of something other than mankind mixing together with them. But the scripture is speaking of a mixture of people who will not remain united.

I would be off the opinion that the "they" are evil angels; that Gen 6v1-8 (with 1Peter 3v18-20, 2Peter 2v4, Jude v6) will happen again during the Great Tribulation, as the Lord Jesus states:

"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." Matt 24v21

And: "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." Matt 24v37

To fulfill Matt 24v37, Gen 6v1-8 has to occur, including Gen 6v4!

The image of a man,in chapter 2,and the 4 beasts that Daniel saw,in chapter 7,are the same.

It is Babylon, they fell to the Medes and Persians, who fell to Greece, who fell to the Roman Empire.

The first 3 kingdoms had their dominion taken away, which means they will never rise to power again.

The 4th beast is the Roman Empire, which is referred to as iron, which did not have their dominion taken away until Jesus puts them down, who will come together at the end time, and be the power base of the antichrist, which will include nations taken over by a European nation.

At the end time, the world will be split in to ten sections with a leader in each section, which are the 10 horns, and the 10 toes of the image of a man,in which Europe, and all nations governments will come together,in which the Roman Empire mixed themselves with the seed of men,but they will not cleave to each other,as iron is not mixed with clay, which Daniel chapter 11 says the man of sin will have a struggle from people that push against him,in which the kingdom is partly strong, and partly broken, but the man of sin has his way,for arms will stand on his part, especially nuclear weapons, which the antichrist plucks up 3 horns,or sections,by the roots, which sounds like they have a nuclear attack on their section, which probably will be the Arab world.

See Rev.12:7-9, an event for our near future.
