Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? and when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?"
Too often we center in on the second half of tis story--those who thought they had done great things for God, but whom God did not know. This part is important. These sheep were unaware of their own goodness. These were not the great preachers or missionaries (God bless them!). These were just ordinary Christians going about their lives doing what seemed right to do and never aware of the light that shines through them. They cannot point to great lists of converts or incredible miracles. Yet God says to them "Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." So, those of us called to minister to and/or teach these ordinary Christians, remember that they are a precious gift. "This ministy is God's grace to us...."
