We all love peace but we are not ready to make peace. Some of us refused to become peacemaker while others are not ready to become peacemaker. For us to have peace we must live in love and we must become peacemaker.
To become a peacemaker we must forgive one another for his/her wrong deeds. It is because of our wrong or evil deeds that we have no peace. Due to this, we are sad, hurt, angry, worry, trouble, fear etc. But when we forgive, these things are taken away ...because evil cannot withstand forgiveness. Forgiveness comes from a heart of love and evil can never withstand love. GOD will never entrust HIS power or HIS name to someone who does not forgive or have love in him/herself that is someone who does not live in love.
Listen to what the LORD JESUS said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of GOD”.
My dear, do you know what it means to be called sons or daughters of GOD? Those who are called sons or daughters of GOD, the devil is afraid of them because he cannot withstand them. He knows they belong to GOD and GOD is always with them protecting and guiding them. For example look at Peter, John, Paul etc in the Bible they were sons of GOD because they were peacemakers; and when the children or the sons of Sceva who were not peacemakers and were using the name of JESUS to heal, the devil said to them, “JESUS I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” The devil deals with them seriously and wounded them and they ran naked because they were not sons or daughters of GOD.
Look at Stephen in the Bible who was stoned to death. Before he died, he knelt down and cried with a loud voice, “LORD, do not hold this sin against them”. Stephen forgives all those who stoned him to death. He was a son of GOD. Also JESUS who is our number “One Peacemaker” when HE was crucified said, “FATHER, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. HE is the beloved son of GOD.
Now you can see and understand that no one will be called son or daughter of GOD if he/she is not a peacemaker and no one will be entrusted with the name of the LORD when he/she is not a peacemaker. The name of the LORD is power that is why the Bible says, “By the mention of the name JESUS all tongues must confess and all knees must bow”. To become a peacemaker, we must have a forgiven heart and we must forgive one another because forgiveness comes from a heart of LOVE and LOVE is GOD.
Give thanks and praises to GOD AMLIGHTY and worship HIM forever. Remember to forgive all the time so that you will become a peacemaker and you will be called son or daughter of GOD.
