Anywhere in the world, if that area contains people who hold a majority belief, contradictory ones are attacked. It's the nature of humanity to come together in shared belief in a society and go against what contradicts it.

The US christians against muslims

The Chinese atheists against the Tibetan monks (particularly gruesome as many of the monks did not believe in violence or retaliation and were simply slaughtered)

Hindus against muslims in India and vice versa.

Jews and Muslims in Israel.

Christians and Muslims in Africa.

Blacks and whites in south africa.

Etc etc etc.

You might even say that political beliefs do the same thing. The Germans in World War II. North Korea and South Korea.

Any war or conflict can be viewed as such. The Troubles in Northern Ireland etc etc.

Persecution is rife on the whole, not just for christians. I believe it is better not to be one-sided.

May I know which one do you classify yourself?
First of all, this is Christian chat. Christians are to care about peace, yes.
However, the first and foremost thing Christian should care about, is to care about another Christian brothers and sisters who are persecuted for His name sake.

Anyway, Christians cannot hate other non-believer. Christians are to reprove their false beliefs, yes.

Yes Christians are Wong persecuted, but what about atheists, or people of no faith? Atheists get persecuted everyday in countries all over the world, but that's ok right?

Washington (CNN) – As terrorism increasingly becomes a tactic of warfare, the number of attacks and fatalities soared to a record high in 2012, according to a new report obtained exclusively by CNN.

More than 8,500 terrorist attacks killed nearly 15,500 people last year as violence tore through Africa, Asia and the Middle East, according to the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.

That’s a 69% rise in attacks and an 89% jump in fatalities from 2011, said START, one of the world’s leading terrorism-trackers.

Six of the seven most deadly groups are affiliated with al Qaeda, according to START, and most of the violence was committed in Muslim-majority countries.

The previous record for attacks was set in 2011 with more than 5,000 incidents; for fatalities the previous high was 2007 with more than 12,800 deaths.
