i have always been overweight my whole life
but during college i worked hard and lost weight and then i really worked hard about 3 years ago and it worked but for some reason that i have not figured out yet, it never stays off

and if this is the one thing that is hindering me from marriage, i don't know what to do anymore, because i am physically and mentally and emotionally drained from continually having to lose weight and that it always returns

i worked out with a partner for about a year and GOD BLESS THEM because it was the biggest blessing of my entire life other than being born, well that might be exaggerating.

But I don't know what to do anymore

I've tried for so many years, and no one in my family is a supporter

#1 - If you truly find the person that God has for you i believe they will not look at your physical condition but your heart. Also, Matthew 6:33 (I just gave this scripture to someone last night) and many of the times we do not seek the Kingdom of heaven first, when that should be our main focus, the rest will follow.

# 2 - Pray that the Lord would encourage you and strengthen you physically and mentally in order to constantly be exercising. We should exercise at least 30 minutes a day, limit ourselves to small portions, and eat healthy, this should be a Life Style, and not a diet.

Thank you, it is just that i live with people who are not christians and have no respect for the Lord, and i am fighting a more important battle now than losing weight and being physically appealing for a man

I'm not even free to do those things in the place that I live, and it is not just the people that i live with it is the community, people go to church and love one another but not everyone is a christian

and it is hard to live as one here

It may not be easy, but you will get through it if you take time to be intimate with the Lord. Daily spend time in his presence and he will bless you with faith and abudance of his Glory... Sometimes i myself feel that no one understands me and that i'm walking on my own.. people i've depended on have failed me, but i've put my eyes on men and not God and it tore me.. Let him be your leader, comforter, and most importantly your God & friend.

yeah Asa, I found out the hard way over a period of decades that dieting and fasting messes with yr metabolism
every time you go off your diet your body finds a new equilibrium which is heavier than you were before the diet

I am glad I finally found the answer

Maybe try a Daniel Fast. You will be eating healthier, and fasting for God at the same time. That way by working on your spiritual life, you will work on your physical well-being as well.

I just got off a Daniel fast, and while my goal wasn't to get more fit or anything of the sort, I did realize that being on a basically vegan diet for nearly 3 weeks did cleanse my system a bit. Of course, the more important thing is that God answered my prayers while I was fasting. :) It is amazing how fast God can answer prayers, sometimes.
