The University of Southern California has been doing mice and human cell trials on diabetes and have found that fasting can cure diabetes in mice and the individual human cells. The article in this URL: The ‘fast cure’ for diabetes tells how to get started if you should want to try the fasting method. As it says, fasting is not for everyone and recommends talking to a doctor about it. I don't know if I would be content with talking to a regular doctor, because they are so skeptical. I would try to find an integrated medicine doctor for the yes or no decision.

It doesn't surprise me at all that we are "discovering" that fasting has health benefits for our bodies.

It makes me wonder what benefits fasting holds for our souls as well. Jesus fasted on a number of occasions. So you'd have to think there must be something to it.

Years ago I helped someone who had type 2 diabetes for many years jump start their recovery and eliminate their dependence on insulin with a 21 day juice fast. But that was not the end of it. He also had to radically change his diet around.
I never heard of anyone doing it with type 1.

These are not just Dr. Sears thoughts, these are also from specific journals referenced at the bottom of the article. Just because it is from Dr. Sears doesn't mean it's a scam.

Part of the problem, he claims he found it in journals, but no one can find them. That's a scam.
