A few of you know that I was overcome by smoke a few weeks back while on a fire break line in Washington State. I was air evacuated to Seattle and had some horrible days there. But I was not alone in that incident.

Back home in Colorado, I have now had to return to the hospital twice for breathing/lung/heart problems. Just call me blue-boy. And I was back in early this morning, again. When they called up the hospital in Washington, they learn all of my history but also passed along that one of the others had died.

I do not know much about him. He was from Montana, had a family. Sort of hits close to home.

But, even if I do not know much, I do know that his family is going to need some God intervention in it. Unexpected death can really knock a person for a loop and they will need us to be praying to God for His intercession in their lives at this time.

Praying for the firefighter and his family in Jesus Christ is Lord.
According to the news, he had an unrelated medical condition that led to his death.

Thankyou for your help here in fighting the fires, the smoke is getting bad here and affecting more than just the fire fighters.

Abba, I bring to You the family of this man whose life has ended. :(
I pray You will comfort and heal hearts. I love You, Father. I thank You for being our God, and making us Your family.
We love one another because of You, and we know how it feels to lose someone we love.
You are the Source of everything we need. And for those family members and friends who loved this young man who died I ask that You will bring life from death.
Bring the saving knowledge of Jesus, Lord. Bring good, the ultimate good, from sorrow.

Father, thank You for saving Chip. I ask that You will continue to work in his body for all healing.
I pray You give him every wonderful thing You have planned for him, to Your glory and his joy, in Jesus' Name.

Chip--my son showed me a South Park clip once, and when I read of your trials, unbidden came this thought:
cyanosis is baad, m'kay?

I don't know if that even means anything to you, but I do agree with the idea. ;)
cyanosis/hypoxia=bad!
healing in Jesus---really, really good. :)
