I feel very bad for my inlaws, but they are very frustrating. They are really sruggling to raise their kids. Jacqueline is 4, Isabella is 7 mos, and there's another one on the way. Jacqueline has zero discipline. She runs the house. She destroys everything, but it's because she's 4 and they provide her with no boundaries and no consistency. Jac is not potty trained because they do not follow through. She's been capable of potty training from a very young age. I worry for them all because they are so insecure that they will not take any advice.
There is nothing wrong with Jac. She pays attention when you make her. She follows directions when you enforce them. She has never been unnaturally rebellious... Meaning she acts like a typical 4 yr old. She communicates well though they think she's stupid--yes this is the word they use-- because they compare her to other kids at church.
Jac is very adventurous and rebellious, but I worry that these traits will be a big issue when she grows up for the lack of boundaries and discipline she has now. Like I said, she knows how to behave. Shes always great with me. Shes great with her Nina. She just runs her parents ragged.

The best thing that you can do is pray...I have prayed too...

1 Thes 5:15,16 &17
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
Be joyful always; pray continually.

2 Cor 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Agreeing in prayer with everyone here for them. In Jesus Name, Amen.

So i spent several hours with my sister and brother-in-law and their girls. They took Jac into be tested. She is 4 yrs old next month. She doesnt speak in full sentences. She isnt potty trained. And they think she has attention issues. The dr.tested and she is
able to make all sounds, but she has grammar and attention. I really want to help them but they do not take advice. Its sad because they have VERY low expectations of her, so they get what they expect: a child that screams at them, has no routine, refuses to do anything she's told, won't eat, wont go to sleep, won't sit still, won't even attempt to clean up after or dress herself. 

What you have described sounds like Autism, they have problems with language or social skills. Most children with autism are slow to gain new knowledge and how to apply it to every day life. If the parents are lacking in social skills, that creates a double problem.
My own son took 5yrs to potty train and still has a hard time understanding why he has to wash up.
He is a commputor WIZ! And has learned to be a little more social.

Now that he is older...he follows written commands much better than talking face to face.
Try to get her to do things through pictures...they make them for Autistic children
or kids with social problems.

They are in my prayers.
