"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear me." Psalm 55:17

"No man - I don't care how colossal his intellect - No man is greater than his prayer life."- Leonard Ravenhill

"If your faith does not make you pray, have nothing to do with it: get rid of it, and God help thee to begin again." - C. H. Spurgeon

"If you want a new personality, I'll tel1 you this: the on1y way to get it is to have a prayer life. You can't pray and be unclean; you can't pray and hold a grudge; you can't pray and have bitterness. We blame the devil so much, (but) many of us sabotage our own prayer lives. - Leonard Ravenhill

"Prayer does change things, all kinds of things. But the most important thing it changes is us. As we engage in this communion with God more deeply and come to know the One with whom we are speaking more intimately, that growing knowledge of God reveals to us all the more brilliantly who we are and our need to change in conformity to Him. Prayer changes us profoundly.” - R. C. Sproul

"How do you learn to pray? (Well), how do you learn to swim? Do you sit in a chair with your feet up drinking coke learning to swim? (No), you get down and you struggle. That's how you learn to pray. Prayer is our strength; Prayer generates strength; it generates vision; it generates power; and the devil will drive you away from the prayer closet more than anything" -Leonard Ravenhill

"Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things 'above all that we ask or think.'" - Andrew Murray

“The Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring men to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His Presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God Himself in the core and center of their hearts."- A. W. Tozer

"What is wrong with a Christian who possesses no spirit of prayer? No power with God? He is an infidel" - Charles Finney

"Our prayers lay the track down which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails." - Watchman Nee

"We hear it said that a man will suffer in his life is he does not pray; I question it. What will suffer is the life of the Son of God within him, which is nourished not by food but by prayer...Prayer is the way the life of God is nourished. -Oswald Chambers

"Prayer is reaching out after the unseen; fasting is letting go of all that is seen and temporal. Fasting helps express, deepen, confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves to attain what we seek for the kingdom of God." - Andrew Murray

"Prayer can never be in excess.” - C. H. Spurgeon

"The lack of obedience in our lives breaks down our praying…Disobedient living produces extremely poor praying. Disobedience shuts the door of the prayer closet. It bars the way to the Holy of Holies. No man can pray-really pray-who does not obey." E. M Bounds

"A man who is intimate with God will never be intimidated by men." - Leonard Ravenhill

"Some people pray just to pray and some people pray to know God." -Andrew Murray

"... you do not have to be a Mormon or a Jehovah's Witness, or subscribe to some sect or some cult to be deceived. You can subscribe to correct Christian orthodoxy and be as effectually deceived in the correctness of that credal statement as if you were embracing false doctrine. In fact, that kind of deception is the most devious and powerful of all because you think yourself correct. There is a need to know God, saints, a desperate need to know God, and He is waiting to be sought. He distinguishes that people, that generation that will ascend the holy hill of Zion, in Psalm 24, with clean hands and a pure heart, who have not given their souls to vanity by running to Toronto. But they are those who will ascend the holy hill and throw the bolt that opens the gate that the King of Glory might come in. He says, "This is the generation of them that seek Thee, that seek Thy face, O God of Jacob" (Ps. 24:6)." - Art Katz

The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.” - Andrew Murray

nice quotes. I like most of them except this one:

"Our prayers lay the track down which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails." - Watchman Nee

God can reach us in the pits of the hell even without rails.

:) Amen! He Sure COULD, God could turn back time. God is GOD.

Nee's point is that for the individual, PRAYER is the WAY for GODs power to be manifest. Want the TRAIN to be manifest at YOUR STOP? then it CANT be made manifest at YOUR stop, unless there was a track. Prayer is the track.

It may be one of the weeker quotes.

But its still truth. God WILL NOT arive at your station unless there is a Track.
