Prodigal...
It's been a while since I last prayed
Too long since I heard Your voice
I strayed and tried to do my own thing
Yet You kept Your arms open...
It wasn't long til I realized I was wrong
That I needed you and couldn't go on
Like oxygen..You were life for me
Just to breathe You in again
You wait with arms wide open
Praying I'll return..
You intercede on my behalf
A wayward child so lost
But I'm ashamed..and not worthy..
Yet You love me..with no conditions
I'm scared..lest I disappoint You
But you keep calling out to me
A sound that resonates in my soul
Calling me home
To a Father's love so strong
How can I deny it..how can I fight it...
Your mercy and grace is overwhelming
And I am undeserving..
But You love me..you love me anyway
And in Your arms is where I want to stay..
