Acts 10 verse 43~ All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.
:)
This scripture is a reference to water baptism. After Peter made the statement you reference, he commanded believers to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (verses 47-48) That's the connection-Those who believe in Jesus receive forgiveness of sin through water baptism in His name. (see Acts 2:38)

Which is Biblically accurate (Eph 2:8,9).
This verse does not mention repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Spirit, confessing Jesus as Lord etc.
It does not even define what is to be believed. So what are you implying???

Baptism is what one does AS A TESTIMONY of what has happened to them BY FAITH.
Peter was certainly not commanding them to testify for the remission of sins in Acts 2:38 or because of the remission of sins. Acts 2:38 is clear and you are simply fighting the obvious.

"Works" are the RESULT of FAITH, and not the cause of it.
Works have nothing to do with this and you know it.

This is about having a humble and obedient heart as opposed to those who seek salvation through scrupulous compliance to faith alone regeneration theology.

They are the modern day Pharisees who condemn those seeking salvation by obeying the command to wash away their sins as did the New Testament Christians.

exactly one verse doesn’t erase the others they add to one another.

“And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:42-43‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That verse doesn’t erase any of these verses

“and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:46-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter ( he’s been filled with with the Holy Ghost now as John told them would happen ) said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( there’s one baptism and one spirit and one name )

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: ( they believed peters word so they all gladly got baptized in his name for remission of thier sins who wouldn’t unless they don’t believe what’s being said then why would they ? ) and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

( but that wasn’t the end )

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common; …..

praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39, 41-44, 47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He added to the church because they were out preaching the gospel and baptizing people who believed for remission of sins in his name. Like this guy

“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? ( apparently baptism is done in water when someone believes the gospel of Jesus ) And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. ( this guy was reading about the messiah dying for the peoples sins before he began to preach Jesus from the scriptures ) And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:35-38‬ ‭

“And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The spirit was in Philip who baptized the man in water …..

“There is one body, ( of Christ )

and one Spirit,( of Christ )

even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; ( eternal Life in Christ )

one Lord, ( Jesus Christ is Lord )

one faith, ( the faith of Jesus Christ the son of God )

one baptism,( in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins )

one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:10-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:5-7, 11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Baptism n jesus name for remission of sins …is such an important part of our doctrine.

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

"Baptism" is a "Religious work"
John 6:29
King James Bible
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Defending faith alone regeneration theology is your work. You believe that by serving it you will be rewarded but you will not.

Telling people that obedience is not needed for the remission of sins will be the undoing of many.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved

He presents a cogent understanding on the issue and this is your response?

He presents scripture and you present idioms.
Clarly you don't know the meaning of idiom. I provided many scriptures to point out that Baptism in Jesus' name is not the only way water baptism is to be done.

Those who believe and submit to water baptism in the name of Jesus absorb completely and accept totally the work, power, authority and person of Yeshua the Messiah; on “onoma” see 3:16 N, Mt 28:19 N.
(from Jewish New Testament Commentary)

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
So those Baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not saved, nor is their water baptism valid?

what’s the name of

the father

The son and

the Holy Ghost ?

the doesnt preface a name , but “ the son “ isn’t a name or “ the father “ also not a name “ the Holy Ghost “ isn’t a name either but they are the titles of God not his name.

“be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. …..Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:10, 12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:16‬ ‭

…every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

notice it isnt the three names of the lord but one name ?

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord"

Jesus said when you Pray say:

Matthew 6:8-9

8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.

What is His name? It is HOLY!!! And Jesus said to call him FATHER!!! Jesus did not say, Call him Jesus, did he? NO!

Your qestion about what his name is is completely incoherent qestion to ask.

Right what’s his name

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I ( Jesus ) and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“…….Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, ( what’s his name ?) justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Yes Jesus said when we pray we should address God as our father in heaven because he taught us that God is our father in him …. Not that Gods name is the father ….That’s not his name it’s who he is to Us who believe in the son .

his holy spirit doesn’t have a different name called “ the Holy Ghost “ there’s just one name

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Name of singular …..what I was asking is what’s the name they were to baptize in ?

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”( because it’s Jesus spirit )
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭

NOt a single person was baptized in any other name no one baptized saying “ I baptize you in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost ….the name tbey all baptized into is the actual name Jesus is the name “ the son of God “ is one of his titles. The holy ghost is Jesus spirit. And he is the Lord his name is really clear in the nt doctrine

But I dont want to argue over it . I was only ever wondering g if you natives it says “ in the name of

the father and the son and the Holy Ghost “

and not in the names of “ as of not one bit I digress since asking about his actual name is o coherent to you lol

It really is a very coherent question. Only those who are dead set against accepting the truth reject the fact that Father, Son and Holy Ghost are titles.

Clearly, Jesus IS a name. And according to scripture in Jesus DWELLS the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Col 3:9 And for clarification, the Godhead is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Clearly, Jesus IS a name. And according to scripture in Jesus DWELLS the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Col 3:9 And for clarification, the Godhead consists of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
First off, they are Titles of the living God, so we must approach them humbly and reverently.

The name of Jesus was given to him to establish his humanity. God became man, not man became God. Jesus, the man who felt pain, suffered hunger, became tired, and slept, relied on the Spirit of God for everything. Whom Jesus Himself Said was real and gave personification to the Holy Spirit, was Jesus lying?

Was Jesus speaking metaphorically when he said in John 14:15-17

15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Did Jesus mention the Father as a Title that did not exist? Did Jesus mention the Spirit of truth because he did not exist?

Did not Jesus literally Accend into Heaven and say is Acts 1:8 you shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

And not really mean it?

Again, all existed in Him. For in Jesus dwells all the fulness of the Godhead.

The truth is revealed in scripture. One instance is found in the Gospel of John:
John 14:26 Jesus says the Father will send the Holy Ghost:
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Afterward Jesus reveals it is He that will send the Holy Ghost. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." John 16:7

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Jesus said those who hunger and thirst after righteousness will be filled. (Matt. 5:6) And those who seek will find! However, this will not happen if people refuse to believe and submit to God rather than manmade traditions. It was Jesus who said, unless a man is born again he cannot SEE the kingdom. And unless born of water and Spirit he cannot ENTER the kingdom. (John 3:3-5)

NO no no,

you can say all existed in Him when Jesus prayed to the Father and said the Comforter, which I, My Father, will end to you.

Did Jesus pray to Himself? Was Jesus mocking when he said, "When you pray, say OUR FATHER, which is in Heaven?
Don't feed me what you don't know; just say you don't know. And I can accept that because No one can. Our Human understanding is limited unless you know all there is to know about the Divine Nature of GOD?

This is a straight forward and clear question, it deserves a straight forward and clear answer.

I of course can only speak for myself but the answer seems to be yes those who are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are most certainly saved and yes their water baptism for the remission of sins is valid.
