Here's an unique answer...

Genesis 1: 26-31

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God made man in His image BOTH male and FEMALE! Mankind was created on the 6th day. All races were made. We also see that Man was given EVERY TREE to eat from! This included the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We also see that man or mankind did not receive any commandment! We were given this period to do all our work under the sun!

Genesis 2:1-9; 15-17

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

God rested IN the seventh day. It never said it ended! We are told that there was not a man to till the ground. If we hold to our traditional view, then there wasn't a man to do ANYTHING! Now we are introduced to God personalized. It is now the LORD God who FORMS man and breathes the breath of life in his nostrils. Not that he started breathing then, but this is when the man was given a direct revelation of the true God. Even the animals breathe. He was given knowledge of Him. This man was formed on DAY SEVEN as these are not literal days! He was seperated for the act of tilling the ground. He was to dress the garden and keep it. Remember, Adam and Eve were naked and NOT ASHAMED! The were clothed with the righteousness of God! They were to plant the seed of life of the living God in the rest of mankind. They were to dress it with the righteousness of God. Cain's wife did not come from a sister as Adam didn't have another child until Seth at 130 years old! His wife came from one of the surrounding people in the land of Nod.

Does it matter? Abram married his half sister. It was okay back then until the law came into play. There was no law in those days.

This methodology seems flawed to me. It appears we can emphasize anything we want, make that the center, be super literal in some parts (eat of EVERY herb) but super metaphorical in others. And the end result can be whatever we want. All we have to do is come up with a fancy conclusion that we want to justify and work backwards from there.

And why are firetrucks red? Because they have four wheels and eight men. Four and eight make twelve. There are twelve inches in a foot. A ruler is a foot long. Queen Elizabeth II is a ruler. Queen Elizabeth is the name of a ship that sailed the seven seas. Seas have fish. Fish have fins. The Finns fought the Russians. The Russians are red. Firetrucks are always a rushin; therefore, they are red.

Here is an example of such methodology from Luther: "Now it is clear that nature could not have discovered such a doctrine, nor could all the ingenuity, reason and wisdom of the world have thought it out... it is pointed out by the fact that Christ was born at midnight, by which he indicates that all the world is in darkness as to its future and that Christ can not be known by mere reason, but that knowledge concerning him must be revealed from heaven" (147; Complete Sermons of Martin Luther; Vol. 1.1-2).

Really? Luther was able to get all that just from the fact that Christ was born at midnight? So if I want to prove that Christ can't be known by mere reason I can just point to his being born at midnight. Well I was born at midnight too, so I guess that proves I can't be known by reason. No, not really. Luther has come to this belief through other means. He then argues that back into this text by a novel twist of reasoning.

Here is Augustine on the Good Samaritan: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho: Adam himself is meant; Jerusalem is the heavenly city of peace, from who se blessedness Adam fell; Jericho means 'the moon,' and signifies our mortality, because it is born, waxes, wanes, and dies..." (Quaestiones Evangeliorum 2.19a).

We should approach the Bible just like any other book, with common sense in regard to how it uses language. We shouldn't try to read between the lines with exaggerated literalism or exaggerated metaphor. We should just read the lines like we read the lines of any other text, knowing that context and other common indicators will tell us whether a thing should be understood at face value or not.

To take just one example of where I think you are doing this, consider this statement you make: "Cain's wife did not come from a sister as Adam didn't have another child until Seth at 130 years old!"On what basis do you say this? Apparently you state this simply on the basis that other children besides those aren't mentioned. But usually we don't assume that just because a thing is not mentioned that it must not be present. Especially if we have other reasons to think it was present (that Cain had a wife could be such reason to think they had other children). And with a very little bit of work we can see that the biblical geneologies often leave out persons who nevertheless existed. For instance, Matthew 1:8 says that "Joram begat uzziah," but this ignores that Joram also had Ahaziah, Joash, and Amaziah. The purpose of the biblical geneologies isn't to give a detailed list of every child a parent had, that's obvious from making a few comparisons. Sometimes they are given for theological purposes and so they are abbreviated to serve that purpose. Sometimes they are little more than bridges, transitioning from one man to focus on a story of one of his descendants. I can only imagine justifying the notion that Adam didn't have any children besides those mentioned by applying a wooden sort of literalism where we have good reason to not apply a wooden literalism.

Cain actually did take more than one wife, But what did not do is pick his wives from the proteced seed-line Judah, thus actually being the first one to do this, as OUR FATHER proteced that seed-line of Judah ALL down through The OLD TESTAMENT From the Forming of The Adam on the 8th day,and of the same man made HE a Woman from The (rib??) the sciptual language says Curve,(we now KNOW OF THE HELIX CURVE) EVE;" The Mother of ALL Living" To Mary & Joseph To Bring forth THE MESSIAH!
Love & Peace to ALL in CHRIST Forever!!!
