I have a question that noone can seem to answere. In Genesis 7:20-27 Noah cursed Canaan after Ham had seen him naked. Why was Canaan cursed instead of Ham i dont understand.

Need to check your scripture reference, Genesis 7 only goes to 24. And No mention of anyone cursing anyone.

Ok, i found it. its chapter 9. I'm not sure really. One speculation is that it is a worse punishment to see your child suffer for your sins than to suffer for your own sins. Or maybe he was just hung over and not thinking clearly haha.

You peaked my interest and I did some reading of different commentaries and here is the best that I can come up with:

The best thing that I found was that we are following pronouns incorrectly:

"Then he [Noah] drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father's nakedness. So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his [Ham's] younger son [or, more properly, youngest son] had done to him. Then he said: "Cursed be Canaan . . ." (verses 21-25)."

^^ Taken from here:
Genesis 9:24 (King James Version) :: Forerunner Commentary :: Bible Tools

Also Genesis 10:1 says "Now these are the records of the generations of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; and sons were born to them after the flood." Thus Ham is not the youngest son, and then could not be the younger son Noah was referring to.
