Life what was, life what is, all now broken
Shattered pile all that's left - this token
Slain down deep and cut apart,
Blood runs down the deadened heart.

Silence waits to become healed,
Fate to break what was sealed,
Broken pieces on the ground,
Fragments of glass - all around.

You take the pieces in your hand,
Grind them down small as sand,
Waiting, seeking, dare not breathing,
Will You reset my heart beating ?

Molded and melded once again,
Promise to make whole, oh but when?
Nearly there - yet far to go,
As cuts to scars, all grow slow.

Breaks and cracks and some loose pieces too,
Reformed, restored, and new strength grew,
Broken fractures faded but still there,
Melted back together all with great care.

This shape is different - yet still me inside,
Some renewed, some all new, and some has died,
Perhaps I'm done, and now made new,
But still pieces left, I point out to You.

No my child, they were not forgot,
But there is not room or for them a spot,
You see now those pieces you need no more.
Because you are not who you were before.
