Just think what would happen in 47 Democrats wrote to Iran telling them not to listen to a negotiating sitting Republican President.

Just think of the reaction here in the forum.
 
It would probably about the same as it is now.

People are free to write whatever they want - including politicians. And if it was a Republican in office, the reaction would probably still be the same - why are we trusting Iran.

If Iran really intended to make good on any promises they had, then why do they refuse to budge on heavy water reactors? The reactor at Arak is there for nuclear materials production - not for generating power.

Read up on reactor design and nuclear materials proliferation some time if you get the chance. It's a fascinating study in engineering.
