Let;s see what the word of God (Holy Spirit)has to say about the written word of God(man). Disciples without the Holy Ghost, ACTS;19; 1;And it came to pass, that while Apollos was at Corinth,Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus; and finding certain disciples, 2; He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, WE HAVE NOT SO MUCH AS HEARD WHETHER THERE BE ANY HOLY GHOST............Is water baptism and believing enough? Evidently Paul thought not. 3: And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4: Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people , that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5; When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus......Remember, they had already been baptized with water to show their repentance because they believed. Believing is not enough, . Say What? JAMES; 2; 19; Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe, and tremble...... Evil spirits believe also but are damned. ACTS;1; 5; For John truly baptized with water;but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.. If water saves, then what use is there of the baptism of the Holy Spirit? John came preparing the way of the one who would save. 1 PETER; 21; The like figure where unto even baptism doth also now save us(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. ..................Baptism does save us but not by washing our bodies of filth of the flesh, but by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Last but not lest. ST. JOHN; 4;1 ; WHEN THEREFORE the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,2; Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples. Jesus baptism had not yet begun, which was the baptism of the Holy Spirit. ST. JOHN;23-24; But the hour cometh.,and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.. 24; God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. John's baptism is still being practiced in churches today , having people believe that is all they need. because they cannot baptize in the name of Jesus and and lay hands on people to receive the Holy Ghost.
