Mount of Beatitudes. The Shrine of the Beatitudes, an octagonal structure. In each wall there is a window and above it a passage from one of the eight blessings inscribed in Latin in prominent red letters. The church was built in 1936 by the Associazione Italiane, and there is a hospice in the grounds. The colonnaded gallery running around the outside of the church overlooks the well-tended garden and the Sea of Galilee below.
