Seeking our provision in Jesus’ love instead of in the powers of this world (Part 1).

• “There is one who scatters and yet increases; but one who withholds just due comes only to poverty.” (Pro 11:24).

When the Creator took people out of Egypt, He nurtured Israel with manna. And the main principle behind it was:

• “And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.” (Exo 16:18)
• “As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.” (2Co 8:15).

That is to say, each one should live by the faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38). It was useless try to store:

• “Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.” (Exo 16:20)

As it is said in the Psalm above, it was only for the loss of those who tried to amass. In Ecclesiastes it is written the something similar:

• “For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.” (Ecc 2:26).

It is a shame that we don’t trust on Jesus and in the power of His Love and Word to the point of focusing only on loving one another as Jesus has loved us (John 13:34,35). Certainly the promise below would be reality in our life:

• “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.” (Isa 48:17-19).

It would be much better if we dedicate our life to help people to get what Jesus has for them and to bide His love touch people around us to give us, not what we yearn for, but what really we need and is good for us.

So, let’s believe and have a good day loving and giving room to Jesus love us through people around us, certain that this promise will take place:

• “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.” (Psa 34:10).

Tomorrow we will carry on.
