A lot of reviews I've seen about the book are in agreement. She makes a lot of unsubstantiated, undocumented claims. She uses short quotes of just few words without context. A lot of people have expressed their disappointment. The title looks promising but Basham doesn't deliver a scholarly book.

It's hard not to argue the body of Christ has gone liberal and gone apostate in many cases; but it sounds like Basham is found wanting as an author on this subject. I've never read it and only have other people's reviews to go by. On Amazon a lot of people have reviewed it favorably, so there ya go.

I've read some comments by Megan Basham on Christian nationalism and she definitely leans in that direction; although she rejects the label because apparently she disagrees with some of their positions. I'd call he a Christian nationalist who doesn't want to be seen as a Christian nationalist.

Basham's opening chapter is about Gavin Ortlund's apparent support of global warming. She claims Ortlund makes global warming a test of the faith. Ortlund has made a rebuttal video which is pretty good.
