[SUP]1-2 [/SUP]God! Look! Enemies past counting!
Enemies sprouting like mushrooms,
Mobs of them all around me, roaring their mockery:
“Hah! No help for him from God!” [SUP]3-4 [/SUP]But you, God, shield me on all sides;
You ground my feet, you lift my head high;
With all my might I shout up to God,
His answers thunder from the holy mountain.

[SUP]5-6 [/SUP]I stretch myself out. I sleep.
Then I’m up again—rested, tall and steady,
Fearless before the enemy mobs
Coming at me from all sides.

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

[SUP]8 [/SUP]Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Who keeps our soul among the living,
And does not allow our feet to be moved.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay You my vows,
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Which my lips have uttered
And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals,
With the sweet aroma of rams;
I will offer bulls with goats. Selah

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Come and hear, all you who fear God,
And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]If I regard iniquity in my heart,
The Lord will not hear.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]But certainly God has heard me;
He has attended to the voice of my prayer.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]Blessed be God,
Who has not turned away my prayer,
Nor His mercy from me!

Praise the Lord.[SUP][a][/SUP]
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

[SUP]2 [/SUP]The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]The Lord sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Sing to the Lord with grateful praise;
make music to our God on the harp.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]He covers the sky with clouds;
he supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]He provides food for the cattle
and for the young ravens when they call.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
[SUP]11 [/SUP]the Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Extol the Lord, Jerusalem;
praise your God, Zion.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]He strengthens the bars of your gates
and blesses your people within you.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]He grants peace to your borders
and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]He sends his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]He hurls down his hail like pebbles.
Who can withstand his icy blast?
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He sends his word and melts them;
he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]He has revealed his word to Jacob,
his laws and decrees to Israel.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]He has done this for no other nation;
they do not know his laws.[SUP][b][/SUP]

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.[SUP][c][/SUP]
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for at his command they were created,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
[SUP]8 [/SUP]lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
[SUP]9 [/SUP]you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,
[SUP]11 [/SUP]kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,
[SUP]12 [/SUP]young men and women,
old men and children.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And he has raised up for his people a horn,[SUP][d][/SUP]
the praise of all his faithful servants,
of Israel, the people close to his heart.

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.[SUP][e][/SUP]
Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,
[SUP]7 [/SUP]to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
[SUP]8 [/SUP]to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,
[SUP]9 [/SUP]to carry out the sentence written against them—
this is the glory of all his faithful people.

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.[SUP][f][/SUP]
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
[SUP]4 [/SUP]praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
[SUP]5 [/SUP]praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
