Here's a little something that came to mind this morning as I was attempting to explain God's promise of provision for the believer. It's very short because it was originally posted on Facebook however, it's amazing how simple and beautiful the gospel really is when we forsake human logic and our own sense of reason in favor of humbling ourselves and allowing the Holy Spirit to whisper softly into our ears thus transforming our hearts. Feel free to comment if you like...

In the beginning God, in His infinite beauty & love, created mankind and placed them in a garden where all of their needs were met. Along came the Serpent and tricked mankind to disobey God by appealing to their sense of self. Because of their selfishness, God then banished mankind from the garden thus forcing mankind to meet their own needs so that mankind could see just how much they really need God. It should be noted that, because of the fall, not only did mankind change, but the entire world was effected as well.

Now let's fast-forward 4000 years to the time of Christ. Jesus, being selfless like His Father in heaven, gave His own life so that mankind could not only be saved from Divine judgement because of man's selfishness, Jesus also restored mankind to his / her previous position before the fall. We can be sure of this for two reasons:

(1) through Jesus, God provided us the means to overcome the selfish desires of flesh through the empowerment of indwelling Holy Spirit, who is very embodiment of God's Divine nature living inside of the born again believer (Romans chapter 8) ; and

(2) through Jesus, God also promises to provide for mankind's every need when man decides to forsake his own selfishness and walk in faith thus seeking first God's Kingdom and His righteousness in all matters of life (Matthew chapter 6).

I realize that this post is somewhat vague and some might disagree with certain aspects because they do not understand physical depravity (man's selfish nature versus God's selfless nature). I may repost this later with all of the necessary scripture references to back everything up and include those scriptures, highlighting the areas which prove what I'm saying in in deed true.

Yes it is simple, sometimes we try to make it harder than it is, or we are to hard on ourselves. Jesus said it is finished and we entered
into his rest, much easier living for him than the world, you get, peace, guidence, favor, protection, joy, love, and to see him someday,
Be blessed
