^ Just a few more of the "gifts" our politicians gave us with free trade.

No shocker here! The economy crashed in 2008, and is still trying to get up, But truthfully it is like putting a carrot before the horse, as he pulls the wagon...he can never get a bite of it, and never will...

All this is...a Diabolical plot to bankrupt this nation, ushering in the One World Government, and getting the Tri lateral commission into full operation.

As U.S. massive deficit spending continues to rapidly increase the debt-to-dollar ratio, China has accelerated their long-term plan to dethrone the U.S. dollar with the Yuan. China does not plan to allow the U.S. financial system to dominate the world indefinitely. Right now, China is the number one exporter on the globe and China will have the largest economy on the planet at some point in the coming years.

9 Signs That China Is Making A Move Against The U.S. Dollar | Zero Hedge

I don't mind because that's an important article which sums up the situation nicely in the sense that the U.S. is declining economically and becoming more isolated while our two greatest competitors (e.g. China and Russia) are expanding and tightening their own relationship with each other. China is now Russia's number one trade partner.

The U.S. blew their chance to align with Russia and together with Europe determine the world's future by continuing to treat the Russian Federation as if they were the USSR locked in an ideological war for the world with us AFTER the end of the Cold War to such an extent that Russia has ceased cooperating with NATO and the U.S. and now looks to China... a China the U.S. government and elitists built into a superpower at the expense of the American people, the U.S. economy, and influence in the world as the primary relationship to cooperatively grow their power, influence, and economy in and over the world.

The writing is on the wall. The U.S. has blundered badly and both it's people and leaders continue to operate as if they are totally oblivious to the fact.

Over the next few decades, the U.S. economy will lose their position to China as the number one economy in the world and invention/innovation from Asia will eventually surpass that of the U.S.. The U.S. will become more isolated and lose influence in the international political arena as Europe aligns further with Russia and China. The U.S. will eventually realize a currency crisis as the dollar devalues and the Yuan replaces it as the world's currency of choice. The era of U.S. supremacy will eventually come to a close.

There is still time to reverse what's occurring and write a different ending but U.S. leaders show no inclination to change anything they are doing to get different results.

The US and China side will be an interesting battle. Both sides are ruthless though the US is more subtle. The difference is China learns from their mistakes while the US does not.

Obama withdrawal puts Xi in APEC box seat - CNN.com

Sorry I used CNN. I am a bit pressed for time to find a more credible news source.

it's just the markets doing what they do.
perfectly normal, just cycles.

why you think "free trade" is responsible for industrial innovation in China and American Industrial Stagnation is beyond me.

i guess everyone needs a scapegoat?

what, you think a nice Republican president should use the military to force the world to buy General Motors automobiles? you keen on bombing Chinese auto manufacturing plants?

how about instead we make a better product at a better value?

BTW do you even drive an American-made car? because statistically you probably have a Japanese or European car in the garage. the actions of consumers have a lot more of an effect on the global market than a tariff does.

Your ignorance based false assertions in no way equates to me being wrong in my correct assertions. As you said, it's beyond you.

But ignorance can be fixed through education. To get you started toward that end:

Did you know that the Chinese government blocks twitter, facebook, and youtube for almost all of it's citizens (they allow a tiny free trade area in Shanghai access)?

You may already know that. But did you know one of the reasons they do this is because they ripped-off the idea and created their own state-owned version of twitter, facebook, and youtube which they market both to their own captive audience (e.g. the Chinese people) and also the world?

What they did is rip-off our ideas and rebrand them as their own and market it to their own people and also worldwide in competition against us. On top of that, they don't allow us to compete against them in China outside of a tiny free trade zone in a single city!

This is a common way the Chinese government operates. They steal something and then rebrand it as if they invented it and use it in their country with strict protectionism but also wield it for profit in the world's marketplace against the actual inventors.

Is this ethical? OF COURSE NOT!

free trade? this is how you spell multi national caitalism. we have corporations that are larger than un member states. we simply dont have ways to control them. china is now losing jobs to countries with cheaper laboor. foxxcon, here in shenzhen is replacing 70,000 entry level workers with computers. welcome to the 21st century.

how long have you lived in china? yes, china limits internet and there are a lot of reasons (not necessarily excuses) for that. they all come from chinese history. the great fear in china is not "repression" but chaos. if you look at the history if china from 1800 to today it is a series of invasions and civil wars. for most of the 20th century china was fragmented, involved in a civil war and facing a japanese invasion. there is a mixture of fascination and fear of westernization. fascination because of the economic and military power of the west and fear because of past chinese experience with the west. the opium wars are just one example. china just aint that simple.

Well, for one thing we know this is not from you guys being too socialist. Especially when a Communist country has a stronger economy.

I'd say this is a direct result of a lack of regulations on Wall Street. By the way, this crashed the world economy too, not just the USA.

Wall Street can still make money out of nothing, even with strong regulations. It's not like they actually do anything.

Wrong David. China is benefitting from a mass transference of American jobs, American capital investment, and American invention/innovation. Their rise is not organic... a result of their political ideology but rather a consequence of the U.S. simply transferring much of it's wealth to them.

You might want to visit how China fared before the U.S. began transferring its jobs, capital, and invention/innovation to China.

One place to start would be with Mao's 'Great Chinese Famine' a result of the Chinese communist party prohibiting private farm ownership. This led to a famine in which 36 million people died and state instability.

I agree with you about Wall Street though.
