This content was posted as a thread, but I thought to make it a blog post, with a few additions, for when the thread dies. This goes to having greater understanding and faith in the Lord, understanding suffering, that we are never cast off, as children of God our Father, in Christ Jesus.

It's been a learning experience in spiritual quackery, the web. I never recall, in real life, knowing anybody claiming sinless perfection. I've known holy Joes, a sociopathic sort of control freak "Christian," a Bible thumper who's quick to see what's wrong with everybody else that doesn't conform to their will. You know the type, prophet wannabes, looking for attention and a cult following.

Oddly, such holy Joes most always seem to be found insufferable and abusive in their families, nobody comfortable around them, often adulterous of their spouses: walking, narcissistic hypocrites, dirty laundry piled in that closet. The higher they rise, the harder they fall. Yet the holy Joes I've come across have not claimed sinlessness, despite their pretense of holiness. Maybe it's just implied, something they're smart enough not to go around saying.

Come to find, of the following gem of a video, in words of one of my favorite preachers of old, that this problem has existed for sometime, clearly, to have been addressed in olden days. But in this old commentary, it is pointed out the clarity in scripture our relationship as children of God, even of being blessed by chastisement for our sins, to strengthen and further purify us, but never cast off by our faithful and holy Father, we His children by writ of holy promise, that we of the Spirit are works in progress, in the Refiner's fire, and never to despair of our salvation.

Hebrews 12:5-8 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him; For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

If you've found yourself not in the best of spirits, and running across a "sinless" purveyor of doubt as to the salvation of the Lord, and in slander of your soul, impugning your assurance and relationship to your Lord, this video will much interest you. Clearly, eternal security has no license to sin component, this simply a straw man, when the believer is subjected to the Lord's correction. And if the Lord must chastise all, there is no sinless perfection of believers in the flesh, as Paul testifies of his own experience in Romans 7.

As for the purveyors of these evil doctrines of doubt in the promises of our Lord Jesus,

Matthew 23:23-4
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
