1 John 5:19
https://www.bibleref.com/1-John/5/1-John-5-19.html is a scripture i absolutely agree with. Even before i became Christian it was obvious to me the politicians we vote for aren't actually in power, nor always the people who actually won. I do think there are some very dark, technocratic puppet masters pulling the strings of most global leaders.
I also think much harm is inflicted on many ordinary people like the Israelis and Palestinians, because their interests aren't important to those really in power. To slightly misquote the brilliant Michael Parenti, what's really crazy is denying powerful, rich people conspire, to keep their riches and power. Winston Churchill called them The High Cabal and these two quotes from British and American leaders are equally supportive of the theory :
