It's been about a month since Christ gave me a new heart, and effectively set me free from the influences of sexual lust.
Day by day, I get stronger.
The thoughts come, but I say "No", and they are quickly cast aside.

My medication helps somewhat.
But without the medication, God has still strengthened my mind. Love for God and a heart for Christ fill what once was a filthy cesspool in my mind.

I have not fallen, by the grace of God.
I could fall. I pray that I do not. But I am stronger now.

Even with the most ungodly media instantly available on the internet, God and Christ gives me strength.
I remember my life before. I thank God for my life now.
My daughter will not have to be exposed to any of that. Thank the Lord.
I discovered explicit films in my house when I was 6 or 7, and that was the beginning of the end for me. That will not happen with my daughter. Praise the Lord.
I will not have to suffer any embarassment because there is nothing to discover or hide.
By the grace of God I feel clean inside.

I am a happy, single man. God has put women in my life and has given me a heart to regard them as mothers and sisters in pure communication.
And there is something special about that communication.
I thank God for my new mind and my new heart.

It is great to hear of your success with the Lord. I have had great struggles with lust and was shown by God the great sickness that it induced into my life. It is quite amazing and wonderful to behold the strength that the Lord will give for you to use simply by asking. I pray that He continues to give you strength in this and all else. Let not the gifts of God be corroded by sin, and let us be share happiness with the Lord in new love and new life!

That's really awesome, and I'm proud of you for fighting and doing what's best for you (and your daughter!) My husband & I are going through a similar problem. He was sexually abused as a child, and exposed to pornography at a very young age. Every since then, he has struggled. At first, he told me he only did it as a young teen and stopped. A few months before our wedding, he confessed to me that he still did it. Since his confession, he has been very honest with me and has gotten a lot better. However, he has to fight REALLY hard sometimes and often has emotional break downs. Do you have any advice for him?

The best advice I can offer is to consciously choose to not look. That is simply how I do it. When the image comes up, I say NO, and I don't wrestle with it. I just put it behind me. Delete the porn. Stop going to the sites. It will pass. That's the best advice I can offer, from my life, let God be my Witness.

Keep trying cyphercat, sexual lust is like alchohol and tobbaco adiction, the longer one abstains, the more one forgets the desire for it. Resist the Devil and he will flee. By this I mean, try to avoid any and all graphics of immodestly clothed women. This is a mans greatest weakness, the seeing of that which sexually stimulates him. Avoid even, the looking at of women modeling swimwear, underware, etc., this can rekindle former desires. Good luck, and keep up the good work.
