The Angels and Giants Theory.
Genesis 6
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

The Phrase "Sons of God" is very interesting when you look it up here what we find.
be^n
bane
The word there is Bane; a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of literal and figurative relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc. one born, bough, branch, breed, + (young) bullock, + (young) calf, X came up in, child, colt, X common, X corn, daughter, X of first, + firstborn, foal, + very fruitful, + mighty, + nephew, old, (+) people, + rebel, + robber, X servant born, X soldier, son, + spark, + steward, + stranger, X surely, them of, + tumultuous one, + valiant[-est], whelp, worthy, young (one), youth.

When you look at that you begin to wonder if it is talking about Angels here.

Here's what we Find when we look up the
"daughters ofMEN"
'a^da^m
aw-dawm'
The word is Adam; ruddy, that is, a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.): - X another, + hypocrite, + common sort, X low, man (mean, of low degree), person.

Now I looked up Giants and i found that it means a bully or tyrant: - giant. now it talks about these giants as being Mighty men Men of OLD here's what Old means and this is what i found interesting.

Here's the word "Giant"
nephi^yl nephil
nef-eel', nef-eel'
Nefeel; properly, a feller, that is, a bully or tyrant: - giant.

"Mighty Men"
gibbo^r gibbo^r
ghib-bore', ghib-bore'
Intensive; powerful; by implication warrior, tyrant: - champion, chief, X excel, giant, man, mighty (man, one), strong (man), valiant man.

They are MEN but does it say that they are part man part angel?

I find this interesting when you look up the word OLD in that verse

?o^la^m ?o^la^m
o-lawm', o-lawm'
OLD; properly concealed, that is, the vanishing point; generally time out of mind (past or future), that is, (practically) eternity; frequentative adverbially (especially with prepositional prefix) always: - always (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end)

This is the Word MEN that describs them.
'i^ysh
eesh
Its different word used than the one earlier (or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant); a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation.) : - also, another, any (man), a certain, + champion, consent, each, every (one), fellow, [foot-, husband-] man, (good-, great, mighty) man, he, high (degree), him (that is), husband, man [-kind], + none, one, people, person, + steward, what (man) soever, whoso (-ever), worthy.

The word "Renown"

she^m
shame
A primitive word (perhaps rather from H7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare H8064); an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character: - + base, [in-] fame [-ous], name (-d), renown, report.

Did you get what these 3 definitions laid out above were about? These beings where "Eternal" "Lasting" "beginning of the World" "Without End" it makes it sound like that these were beings that never stopped growing and they couldn't die. They were men of Authority, Mighty men not to be messed with.
