A lot of people say that the Bible is a lie, it was written by man. Can they explain this?
What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 117
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 119
Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

This is an interesting occurrence, but it rests on the numbering of the chapters the Bible--which wasn't added in until medieval times. When the books of Scripture were written, they were usually written out in long blocks of text, with no spacing between even the words--that's just how the ancient languages worked. Also, some Christians (namely Catholics and Orthodox) accept additional books as being part of Scripture, which throws this numbering off.

I think it's more important to base our acceptance of Scripture off of other grounds--namely that the books of it are inspired, regardless of how many chapters are in each one.

Okay. I'll try to simplify a bit.

What you pointed out is interesting, but there were not chapter numbers in the Bible until about the 1200s. When the books of Scripture were written, they were usually written without spaces between the words. In other words, it would look like this: THESENTENCESWOULDNOTHAVEANYSPACEBETWEENTHEWORDS. It wasn't until translations of the Bible were made into later languages that they were able to put chapter and verse to it. Furthermore, there are some Christians who have more books in their Bibles--Catholics and Orthodox accept additional books in the Old Testament from what Protestants do, and what you have posted about the numbering only works with Protestant Bibles.

I think it is better to base whether we think the Bible is true on things other than how it is numbered--yes this is interesting, but we could probably do it with other books that are divided up into chapters.
