Here is an excellent article by Mike Desario from Standingthegap.org, it helped open my eyes to just how dangerous is is to continue in unrepentant sin!

looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; Heb12:15

Professing Christianity today has become a haven of hypocrites and reprobates posing as followers of Jesus Christ. From the Pastors, teachers, and theologians on down everyone is a Self Confessed Wretched, Chief of Sinners and Proud of it. They are convinced that adopting such an attitude about Sin Humbles them. Many Pastors will report that they ‘Repent’ everyday thereby taking the pressure of living a holy life as an example to others off their shoulders.

The Rom 7 Wretched man and 1Tim ‘Chief’ of Sinners lie has almost everyone in the Church System enslaved in their sins. Pastors will use these passages as their iron clad evidence that ALL People are born Sinners and hopelessly in bondage to their evil dispositions and vile habits. The Message is highly revered because it’s the Perfect excuse to live in sin. And once the human Mind embraces this notion the hardening process shifts into high gear. Consider what happened to Esau who allowed that Bitter Root of sin to defile his heart. He went too far and God gave him up!

lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. Heb12:16-17

But of course NO ONE has ever presented this important Truth in your church because it would contradict the Wretched Man theory. And given that the supposed ‘Converts’ in attendance have never really Repented of their sins to begin with, it would also turn world’s upside-down and smash all hope. The Bible MUST remain in line with the Gutted Out teaching being pounded into the minds of the people world-wide. In this Manner the ‘Profane’ can comfortably attend and be FREE from any Guilt that may accuse them of their wrong doings. This is Why the Churches are filled with ‘Esau’ like Sinners, believing they are Saved, but with Hearts like Stone toward the Commands of God.

Can you grasp the horrible Damage this and other teaching in the churches has brought about in our Society? Probably not, if you’re looking from inside the System. To you the alternative is ‘Sinless Perfection’ and everyone knows the Bible doesn’t teach that. Perhaps not, BUT it DOES teach Heart Purity, A Walk Worthy of God, A Departure from iniquity and to GO and Sin NO more! A Profane person is one who will not Yield to God’s Truth or Seek to Cleanse himself of all filthiness and overflow of wickedness to perfect holiness in the fear of God. (James1:21, 2Cor7:1)

Because he sees himself as the CHIEF of Sinners and forever a Wretch, he thinks its God’s job to clean him up in due time. So as he grows more and more Profane with the ultimate outcome exactly what we see running rampant among professed Christians! (Fornication, adultery, drunkenness, homosexuality, child molestation, thievery, lying, cheating, murder…..you name it! So called ‘Christians’ are doing it!)
It’s an absolute disgrace and Tramples the Blood of Christ as well as Insults the Spirit of Grace! (Heb10:29) ONE thing is absolutely Mandatory in Real Christian Faith, that is HEART PURITY!
He PURIFIED their hearts BY FAITH! Acts15:9.

This happens at initial Salvation, not somewhere ‘down the road’, eventually by some ‘Magic’ formula of Grace. It happens when a person Genuinely Repents of their Sins. That Repentance PRODUCES:
Diligence, Clearing of Wrong Doing, Vehement Desire Change, fear and PURITY of heart! 2Cor7:10-11
Get this into your head and GET down on your knees weeping before God and Pray that SOME Fallow ground remains in your Stony heart and you haven’t reached Esau’s point of no return.

The Bible Teaches that God’s People are SAINTS, who Serve with reverent godly fear in an Acceptable manner. (Heb12:28) True Converts DEPART from Iniquity, not Wallow in it! (2Tim2:19) Sin hardens your heart and Disqualifies you from the Kingdom. (2Cor9:27, 1Cor6:9-10) DOING what is Right makes you Righteous! (1Jh3:6-7) It Doesn’t make you ‘Self-Righteous’!

You’re under Strong Delusion in the System and only a FEW will ever escape in time to really repent. 2Thess2:11-12. Most are not only numb to the truth and hard as Stones, but immune to it as well. It no longer brings about any conviction to their heart. They have trained their conscience to reject the guilt and believe the Lie. They are in a Mindless Bliss (they call peace) but seething with hatred beneath the surface.
Bring them the Truth, you instantly become their mortal enemy.
Living by Faith Means DOING What is Right! (1John3:6-7) ‘He who DOES what is Right is Righteous!’
What is being implied in the present day churches is that if you try to DO anything Right, you’re attempting to Save yourself and thereby ‘under the law’. Thus Modern Christianity has become the LAWLESS religion of the world. In effect the Pastors have neutralized Obedience to the Truth, although they will plead for it at times their own Doctrines conclude that man is off the hook because Jesus obeyed in their place! The Pastors may not definitively say that the Obedience is optional, but it’s strongly implied.

Carefully worded questions will always smoke them out. They CANNOT make Obedience mandatory to the outcome of Salvation. In their Minds, that would be a ‘Works’ Gospel. Most of them will be Vague with their explanations, but if you are able to discern the true nature of false doctrine (always laced with ‘some’ truth!) it’s easy to pick up on their subtleness. WHY will they Never expose false doctrine and they cringe when someone else does? Simple: Because they are PREACHING it! (will you expose yourself?)

Accordingly you can see how easy it is to fall prey under the Wretch-Chief Sinner Message. The whole System is designed around massive deception. The Pastors fear any change, they have no discernment whatsoever and anyone who comes along rocking the boat is branded a Heretic

I haven't seen one person on here (since you've posted many times about unrepentant sin) who disagrees with you. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish.
We all agree that a truly saved person will not contine in a willfully sinful lifestyle after being saved.
I don't know why you post incessantly about this subject since no one is disagreeing with you.

:) a bitter root can go undetected for years generations. my mom and saying this in all respect, during the world war came from the soviet union, stripped of any food from stalin her mom my grandmother died from starvation along with 9 millions ukrainians during the 1933 winter of the famine. every crumb was taken and people were put outside and the weather gets very cold there during the winters with cold water thrown over them to stand and freeze to death, churches striped from everything and made into halls of communist meetings. children taken from parents and parents sent to labor camps. girls begging for bread at a bakery only for the communist owner to come out and cut their hands with a knife. these memORIES NEVER GO AWAY. THEY PLAY OVER IN RESENTMENT AND BITTERNESS LIKE A WIND THAT ONLY TAKES WHAT EVER HOPE ONE WAS HOLDING ONTO AWAY. PEOPLE HAD LOST EVERYTHING. ONE THING THAT HAS PULLED MY MOM THROUGH ALL THIS IS HOPING IN GODS LOVE, AND FEELING IT THROUGH HAVING JESUS. WHEN ALL IS GONE AND TAKEN AWAY, WE HAVE HOPE IN THE LORD. LUKE 10: 19 WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE AUTHORITY TO CRUSH THE SERPENTS, THE EVIL ROOTS AND THE SEEDS OF BITTERNESS. We all agree that a truly saved person will not contine in a willfully sinful lifestyle after being saved.

Good, these posts are for those who think you get saved, IN you sins, who have no clue what biblical repentance is, I am glad you understand this, but many do not, IF you think you get saved IN your sins, then repent later, as you allude to then you are missing what my posts are saying!

IF you do not stop the sin before mercy will be granted, then the heart hardens, and you have thrown out biblical repentance, and causing many to use grace as a license to sin.

Many who profess Christ think they are saved, when they are not, these posts are for them to see IF they are IN the faith, and walking a walk worthy of their calling, but since you seem to think one doesn't have to stop any sin to be saved, then this post may do you some good, but if I have missed what you believe, then forgive me for sharing the truth with many here who are lost in the church, thinking they have peace when they are still in the darkness!

OHHHHHHHH, Tombooooooooooo, many do disagree with this, you are not correct in what you said, many are in great delusion, living of the world, following false teachers, have never repented, as we are proclaiming, and have no problem sitting under the saved IN sin message, grace alone and faith alone lie message, poor sinner message, etc...

So do not ask me to stop with these messages I will post them as much as I can, and since you agree with this, then that is good, and if you don't I would encourage you to repent of all known sin, and stop telling others on this post they get saved In their sins, because if you believe this then we do not agree on what real repentance and faith is.

PS, many on this forum are in many addictions and sins that will lead to death, porn, homosexuality, drugs, ,worldliness, etc..they post they want help, most tell them they are saved already, Gods grace covers them, just join Promise Keepers, or some focus group, and all is well, as God doesn't see their wicked heart, he sees Jesus, another lie from the pit!

These posts are for them, allow Gods word and truth to go forward, it cant be preached enough!!

talk to them one on one in pm . most who are trapped and enslaved by sin will not even click on your threads. if you want to make a real difference in their lives you should mentor them one on one and support them privately. sending words of encouragement and exhortation. many need accountability partners and an online support group that gives them the tools and scriptures to overcome their addictions would be wonderful.

Constantly posting on forums... perhaps it might work, but most likely those who really need to hear will probably just ignore. yes there are threads where people are asking for help. why don't you post on them and engage with the OP and those seeking help?

do you just want a platform or do you really want to help those people?

There are plenty who might need to hear it.

honest communication would be a good thing.

prayer and Bible study would be great as well.

wow that is a very touching testimony.

I believe the Enemy likes to replay hurtful scenes from our life to evoke bitterness, resentment, unforgivenness, anger, hopelessness, despair, loneliness and other negative emotions that can be so crippling.

Satan plants those tares among the good seed GOD places in our heart.

The Words and promises God makes about His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. His wisdom that comes from above.

God tells us we must cast down all strongholds that war against the knowledge of Christ. those memories and emotions war against the peace, joy, love, patience and self control we are suppose to have by walking in the Spirit.

I believe we have to pray about it and ask God how He sees the situation and how He can make good come from what was meant for evil. Like when Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, God made it so that Joseph was in a position to save many lives by inteperting the vision for the Pharoah.

We can not always understand WHY things happen but we can have faith the God will be able to make it work for His glory. sometimes I believe we suffer so that we can help others who are suffering later in life get through it, just as many helped me get through my trials and taught me the meaning of God's love, patience and grace. I believe God intends us to be a family helping one another toward that upward calling, encouraging one another and walking that extra mile so that through our love and good works God may be glorified.
