Mark 3:28-29New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]28 [/SUP]Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, [SUP]29 [/SUP]but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”

Atheists activists have used this Bible verse to encourage millions of people (mostly teens) to express their beliefs that there is no God. They have launched a challenge in which they record themselves damning their way to hell by saying somewhere in the video "I deny the Holy Spirit". Then, they upload the video to youtube and attach the the URL address to a specific email address. The atheist organization "Rational Responders" will then send them a free DVD with a documentary against christianity. It is quite simple, they only want your soul.

This challenge does not make any sense.
If someone is going to deny the existence of the Holy Spirit, first you have to believe in It. If one ever receives the Holy Spirit, this person will experience the overflow of abundant love. This love can enter our hearts, our minds and will teach us "love", "joy", "peace", "gentleness", "comfort", "faith", etc., and it will speak to us as an "inner voice".

It doesn't matter who you are, God sends the Holy Spirit to guide us and inspire us to make the right choices. It doesn't mainly feel like all the other emotions, It is more like a warm feeling that sets your soul at ease and it tingles all over your body.

Jesus died on the cross with His arms stretched wide open to receive everyone who accepts Him. He is knocking on all people's doors we call our hearts, waiting for us to open and let Him in.It is a choice we make, we either let Him in or we don't.

I think that these so-called rational thinkers have not yet experienced the Holy Spirit, therefore it is easy for them to deny it, because it is something they are not familiar with. If they could only experience the feeling of the Holy Spirit dwelling in their hearts, they would be ashamed and immediately repent of their ignorance in their videos, and I truly believe God would forgive them because they don't know what they were doing.

Luke 23:34New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]34 [/SUP]Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Now, if someone who has experienced the Holy Spirit, knowingly, takes this challenge, it is then blasphemy. Therefore the Word of God applies it as an unpardonable sin.
