Hi, I am starting a new global community, I want to unite peoples across the globe to make 3 simple demands of their goverment:
- To end war.
- To have a global debt jubilee.
- To have a spirit of goodwill between all peoples.
This is all very nice, but what makes this global community different? Its weapon of choice is a very simple idea, a new global calander. To mark the end of war, to mark the debt jubilee, to mark the spirit of goodwill between all peoples, this new global community will introduce a new global calander where the children of the world choose new names for days of the week, and new names for the months of the year, and the year of course would go to year 1. So now the whole world uses new names for the days of the week and the months of the year, and no matter what language you speak, the whole world will in a very small way, speak the same language.
This is something that will effect people for the rest of their lives, and will be the start, a good start, of a truly global community.
Can you imagine having no more Mondays because Monday is now called something different!
My question is how, how as a Christian do you feel about exchanging peace on earth for the end of the Christian calander? Plus of course having new names for the days and months, how do you feel about going back to year 1?
