Today I entered here feeling in a terrible spiritual state. Chain-smoking, only wanting to cry, because I was convinced I am not saved no matter what I do. Fearing punishment for my past mistakes, feeling unforgiven by God, forsaken, a soul bound to die.

I cried for the Lord to help me but I felt no answer in my spirit.

I've been here for a while feeling like that, seeking consolation and fearing I am fake, an unbeliever who is trying to fit in and failing no matter what I do.

And then all of a sudden, I felt calm. I felt at peace, and rarely I feel at peace lately. It was like a breeze of fresh air covering my spirit.

It didn't last long but I will keep it as a sign to keep faith. My soul is being taken care of.

Thank you I will accomplish anything with the help of the Lord. I am sure He is doing His best to heal me. Many Blessings.

In Acts the Spirit was given through the laying on of hands and prayer. One of the evidences of having the Holy Spirit was speaking in tongues, the other prophesying. Maybe you should have someone pray for you that you might in baptized with the Holy Spirit; that helped me quite a bit, at least with calling God Father because I had a hard time doing that before.

It is not about what you do that saves you. It is about believing in Jesus: his divinity, his death on the cross and resurrection and receiving him as Savior and Lord. It is also about trusting in Jesus alone and his death and resurrection to save you and not the good things you do. We need to trust that what Jesus did for us is enough to save us and that we could never possibly earn our salvation through the good things we do. I hope this helps.

Fortunately this weekend I was finally able to find a non-judgemental priest and I could confess the right way and I am feeling much much better now :) Still in recovery, though. God bless you for your answers thank you.
