A Tesla SUV beating a Lamborghini at a race track. The lambo is faster at the start but the tesla passes it halfway to the end and wins.

At least the Lambo can be repaired as needed at a more reasonable cost then EVs.
EVs get bricked easily and they are totaled since it costs a fortune to have the manufacturer un brick 'em.
I know I'll never own an EV. Even if someone gave me one for free! In that event I'd flip it and sell it fast before it gets bricked.

Chasing Cars is a good song...who's it by again?

It's better if you're parked though. Because you might just fall asleep, it's more of a lullaby song.
There used to be a member here who always sang and played that on guitar for everyone in chat back when the chat rooms were very popular. It was around 2010. People would always ask him to play it. It's by a band named Snow Patrol.

Why aren't chat rooms popular anymore?

Quick answer: All the old members left.

Long answer: The chat rooms used to be fun and a few members kept it fun and lighthearted. They hosted silly games like pictionary and guess what movie a certain line is from, and figuring out riddles and stuff like that. But it couldn't last forever and people slowly disappeared and the fun gave way to more serious stuff until chat became 100% bible study and all the old members had left. There were site upgrades that disabled the chat for long periods of time too. (This is just my opinion of what happened, someone else might see it differently).

It was video. When you clicked on the mic, your live video would pop up in a little square in the chat room. Most people had video/online cameras, but a few didn't.

I searched and found a screenshot from the old chat rooms. This person is using their avatar instead of a live camera but that's the square that pops up when you're on the mic.

I can't see it.
So was it more like a zoom meeting?
How long did these go on for and how many people did it have?
Hmm that's weird. I'll try to post it again. No t just looks like the regular chat room but with a little square that pops up showing someone's live cam or their avatar.

Oh it's actually a youtube video. The square pops up when she moves the mouse over the names. It's the same square that pops up when someone was live on cam or just speaking with no cam. It looks like its from a different website called christianchatcommunity, but ours looked exactly like this.

I found the whole chat experience a bit like...

'so and so has joined the chat' '
hi! so and so!'
What are you doing?
Chatting to you.
Ha so am I! .....
So and so has left the chat
