The law is still relevant, though it has no power to cleanse us of sin. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to make it irrelevant. He came to ESTABLISH the law, and not abolish it.

I tried to keep the law, but it was worthless, I could not keep it, and even if I could keep all commands but one, I would have still broken the law. The law of God is a very high standard. In fact, in order to keep the law of God you would have to be perfect. AHHH! Then now it makes sense why Jesus had to come!!!

Jesus came in human flesh to display this very high standard of God. He came to display the law. And he came RIGHT OUT OF THE FATHER!!! This is wonderful!! He had to come right out of the Father because God is love!!! So, the love of God is Jesus Christ. The birth life, death, and resurrection to life again of Jesus Christ is a testament of the love of God for the world. The purity of Jesus Christ is shown in his care for people. He fulfilled the law in love. If we were to love like God loves then their would be no need for the law, since then we would be perfect. But the love of God, which is Jesus is working in us to perfect us until the day of perfection.

So, the law is still relevant, though it has no power to deliver us from evil. The law is still good, IF it is used lawfully, which is in love. But men twist the law when they are full of evil, to suit their sin. God is holy. Be holy!! May Jesus bless you.
