[SUP]4[/SUP] In him (Jesus) was life; and the life was the light of men.
[SUP]5[/SUP] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5)

[SUP]22[/SUP] The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
[SUP]23[/SUP] But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! (Jesus, in Mathew 6:22-23)

Here in Mathew Jesus is saying that you are either 100% full of light or you are 100% full of darkness. There's no such thing as being partly light and partly darkness, partly good and partly evil. These sayings of Jesus go completely contrary to the usual judgmental attitude of most people. There's only one way to be completely 100% full of light. In Jesus is life and light, and you can only have life and light by receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

[SUP]12[/SUP] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
[SUP]36[/SUP] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. (John 12:35-36)

[SUP]46[/SUP] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John 12:46)

So the only way to be full of light is to believe in Jesus. If you confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you have light and life, you have Jesus and eternal life.

These verses in Mathew also fly in the face of those who don't believe OSAS. Because those who believe you can lose your Salvation, invariably, have to believe that you can be partly light and partly darkness, partly good and partly bad. Because most of them say you can only lose your Salvation if you commit some really serious sin like murder, but you won't lose your Salvation over minor mistakes and shortcomings and sins, etc. i.e.: if you can lose your Salvation only for major sins not minor, then you're saying somebody who commits murder is mostly bad and only partly good so therefore he can lose his Salvation. But somebody whose sins and mistakes are just minor is mostly full of light and only a little bit dark. This kind of "lose your Salvation doctrine" is unscriptural.

This also flies in the face of those judgmental people who think they are more righteous than others because they don't commit as many sins. there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

None of us are righteous in ourselves. We're all sinners, therefore, the only ones who are not sinners are those who believe in Jesus, because Jesus covers all your sins, washes away all your sins by His blood and cleanses and sanctifies you and fills you with His light and life. The murderer, cutthroat, rapist, etc. who repents of his sins and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior is just as righteous as the sweet, loving person who never did anything wrong, was always helpful etc. who also repents of his sins and accepts Jesus. But the person who is always sweet and loving and lives his whole life doing good deeds and helping others but rejects Jesus, is just as evil and just as full of darkness as the murderer, cutthroat, rapist etc. who also rejects Jesus.

Born again Christians are the only righteous people in the world. It has nothing to do with how you act or what sins each of us may or may not be guilty of. Some of the worst religious hypocrites in the world are the evil sodomites and athiests, because they look at christians and point out all their failings and sins and say things like, "and he calls himself a christian". "How can they claim to be righteous and going to heaven when they are so bad themselves." Well, we're not righteous in ourselves. But Jesus has cleansed us from all our unrighteousness, so that righteousness is imputed upon us by faith. And He can do that for them. All they have to do is repent of their sins of Sodomy and Gomorry and ask Jesus to forgive them and then they too can be filled 100% full of light instead of having evilness and darkness oozing out of every fiber of their be
