I heard this said on here somewhere: some couple a friend of mine knew: who at the end of the day, when they're going to bed, they say if they like each other. They knew they loved each other because they got married. What was important to them was if they like each other as each day ends.
I can imagine that some days they don't, but eventually they do. lol
I like this. I was at a wedding a few years ago where they used the words "I chose" multiple times. The pastor said, "Jimmy, do you choose to take this woman to be..." and gave a sermon about how love is a choice. I didn't agree with it at first. But now I do. Decisions can't be based on feeling alone. Especially when it comes to romantic relationships. They need to be grounded with wisdom. And when things get hard, and the hurt or fear can be overwhelming, the choice to love can keep the romance thriving.
I have no problem starting a relationship without romantic feelings. lol I have actually been praying for a while that when the right guy would come along, I would be asking God like... "Huh? Him? REALLY? Why?" And then God would tell me YES.. and I would question.. and God would say yes, and tell me to trust Him. That way I would know it was GOD'S will and not my own being like "But I
want him..." because that never worked before. lol And little be known to me, such a thing has happened.
And then of course you "choose" to love your enemy, because Lord knows I don't feel love for them. But if I keep praying for them and choosing to love them, some degree of feeling should arise.
