The imminent war is prophesied in Psalms 83 and the Book of Obadiah. The war will involve the Islamic Arabic nations of Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza, Saudi Arabia, the Palestine Authority and allies attacking Israel. This will be an all-out attempt to totally crush the Jewish State. According to these prophecies, these Arabic nations will be completely destroyed by a weapon of fire. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 38, you find NO mention of these nations attacking Israel. Why?......because they do not exist. They have been previously destroyed. Israel will "possess her possessions." This means that after the destruction of these Arabic nations, Israel will possess the entire land promised by God to her. That covers the majority of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and portions of the Saudi Arabia. She will possess the Middle East oil and the complete wealth of the Dead Sea. Israel will become the world's new super power. This will offset the balance of power against Russia and her sphere of influence. She will not permit this to stand, which will result in the War of Gog/Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39.

Dear Rant,
A false prophecy. It's wrong to try to read modern nations back into the Bible. Ezekiel 38 and 39 were fulfilled in history.
See: Yamauchi, Edwin M. Foes from the Northern Frontier. Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House.
See: DeMar, Gary. (2008). Why the End of the World Is Not In Your Future: Identifying the Gog-Magog Alliance. Powder Springs, GA: American Vision, Inc.

Russia is not Gog-Magog.
Russia is not prophesied to invade Israel.
Israel will possess nothing if she does not believe in Jesus Christ. God's promises to Israel are not unconditional. Because "Without faith it is not possible to please God."
Israel does not have faith in Jesus Christ, therefore she does not have faith in God.
God will bless her again only as she repents and is baptized into Jesus Christ.
God save us all in Christ Jesus: Amen.

PS The war of Gog/Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39 already happened in ancient Israel. It's a prophecy fulfilled in history, not in our future. If God had wanted us to believe Russia is meant, He would have said "Russia". "Rosh" means "Prince" or "Chief" or "Head", not Russia.
